Every time I watch other SEC teams play, I realize how craptastic our uniforms are.

Agreed. I don't know who is responsible for the newish bulldog image but it's look absolutely terrible. It looks like some sample pic of a dog from a photoshop clip art pack. The old one was perfect

The original logo for the Bulldog Club that was initiated and instituted by Bob Tyler with the outline of the state of Mississippi is the logo that is the best ever. Of course, after he was run off by the cigar boys at that time, it fell into disfavor. It was and is the perfect image that belongs on the helmet. Besides, it would remind OM of how they screwed up by not naming Tyler as their HC in early '70's. They got Kinarded..thanks

I have no idea how that M-fishing hook logo came about, but I've always liked it... Maybe because I had it on a cheese jar/piggy bank I had as a kid.

It's not happening.

Get used to it. With OM alums running the college divisions of Under Armour and Nike, it is not going to happen. They have no interest in adding us. None.

********. If they have no interest in adding revenue to their company, they should be fired.

Executives should want to dominate their market and have every team in every sport wearing their logo. Their board of directors and shareholders will want to know about that immediately if that is not their goal.

I'm just telling you what several people in the AD have told me when I raised the same question. Apparently, our new deal with Adidas is more lucrative than OM's Nike deal as well. Nike and UA were no where in the ballpark.

I heard this same quote from the owner of JSIupe's (I believe that's the store). He said adidas was had the best offer and that State would more than likely NEVER go back to Nike. As much as I wish they would as far as apparel wise, it's just simply not going to happen. I don't know how y'all feel about adidas gear but I think at times it sucks. Seems with Nike I could find gear anywhere and it fit way better than adidas and it looks way better. Nike also has a better selection of gear than adidas.

So is it because Ole Miss alums run Nike and Under Armor or is it because Adidas offered a better deal? Or is it something else?

BTW, do you have the names of those Ole Miss alums?

Walker Jones at UA and I don't know the Nike guy's name offhand. I was actually unaware of him until this was pointed out. It was implied to me that the Nike and UA bids were much lower than what the market reflected. There were obviously some other factors at play. At the end of the day, we got a very lucrative contract from Adidas. I'm just telling you what I was told and I could give a s**t if you believe it or not.

I have a hard time believing Uncle Phil would allow an employee to sandbag an offer due to a college rivalry. If he did, then he wouldn't have the chance to sell 100 times more Oregon gear on his website than the school in question.
