We have many things in common with Auburn.......

We are a land grant U, Strong Ag and Engineering Colleges, and now this: http://deadspin.com/50512...ng-on-national-television

From the Auburn Dean of Students "First, please join me by agreeing to demonstrate your support for, and not criticism of, our football team. That means no booing! Remember, the team isn't trying to lose the game-the players work hard all spring and during fall camp to be ready to compete in the S.E.C."

So for everyone who thinks that Auburn and Tommy T were just thrilled to escape with a W, please explain this to me. I know you have said that Tommy T didnt care about running his best plays or trying to get into the endzone because he knew we werent going to score. But this says otherwise. I'm not saying that this makes me any happier about our loss, but it is utter bs that all of a sudden Tommy doesnt care about running up the score. Thank you and Good day. And by the way Corso IS a penis.

but alot of people would say that people like us who would be happy with a 3-2 win are the reason why State will never get to the next level.

But I'd still be pissed about the lack of offense. Just like I told everyone throughout the offseason that last year's success wasn't going to be sustainable unless the team got a lot better, a 5-3 win over Auburn with 115 yards of offense isn't the kind of effort that's going to make us a consistent winner.

There's a huge difference. Nobody was pissed that we were winning games. What we were pissed about was that we wouldn't be able to continue to win games like that. And this year, so far, we're being proved right.

at least not me, were bitching because the defense was winning games. The bitching is because the offense hasn't done a damn thing to help.

Tuberville was trying to win the damn game, plain and simple. He was doing his best to score all game long. He may have been holding out for a bit, but he damn sure stopped when he found out he had a fight on his hands, probably after his first 3 and out.

There at the end, yes, I'm sure he wanted to run out the clock. Who in their right mind wouldn't?

Coaches can't afford to hold back when games are on the line. The only coach that can do that is Croom, and that's only when his AD is Larry Templeton. That time has passed as well.

Alls I'm saying is that there are a vocal few, who get louder when we lose, who will never be happy with how we play.
Complaining about not having enough offense, complaining about winning by defense, tomAtoes, tomAHtoes.

not be happy with everything we did in the game, don't you? I think it's a pretty safe bet that nobody on this board (other than a few Rebels) wants us to lose a game or is disappointed when we win. But when we look like **** in one phase of the game, I'm not going to be happy with that phase whether we win or lose. And neither is the rest of the "vocal few."

than about the fact that we just beat the #9 team in the nation. I'm saying that some people, like coach, would be on here complaining about a 3-2 win just like auburn fans are. Which is even more rediculous than them complaining, because we're not a top 10-ranked team.
