Like in 94 we had no chance against MIAMI. Like last year coming off Purdue and playing MSU. This is not the first time we have been doubted. It will be tough, but WE HAVE A CHANCE!! Time to go get it!! Wow what will they Sunday after we shock the world!! Oh ya, Ali vs Liston, Ali sucks he don't have a chance.

fair or not this game is going to frame the narrative as to whether we are 7-0 based on merit or simply an easy schedule
I expect to win, but you can also prove your merits with a loss as Wisconsin has against OSU and Michigan.
Now go up there and prove you belong

Even if we lose the next 2...it means nothing...if we get blown out both games then that's a problem...a season of 10-2 would set us up for a Big 6 bowl game.....because our losses would be to 2 top 10 teams on the road....that matters in the polls now.

So sit back relax and enjoy watching your favorite team play regardless of the outcomes.

Still not sure why people are comparing this game to insurmountable matchups of the past. They're 5-2 and averaging 19 points per game vs teams not named Akron.
I want to know why the idea of a "close loss" is okay...People...this is Nebraska, playing a 5-2 team with a freshmen statue QB...

Nebraska is not the "little engine that could", stop with the close loss crap.

Its not acceptable . ..but how you lose plays a big part in the rankings if you have been following the weekly rankings.....it's the reason a 5-2 team is ranked 11th in the country.

Because they beat LSU and had close losses to Ohio St and Michigan.

I can honestly say I have very little idea who will win this game. But whatever the outcome I just want us to play well and be competitive. I would hate to see another beat down at the hands of Wisconsin

Same! But I think our team has slowly gotten a LOT more competent over the last year or so, so I absolutely expect a tough game with a toss-up in terms of victory odds.

Yeah, far from insurmountable, but two big concerns are field position and time of possession. I think they will play with a shorter field and hold the ball longer.

Nebraska had no chance against Miami in 1994? Wasn't Nebraska favored?

I think ToP is probably the most important here. If we don't hang on to the ball to at least keep the defense rested and theirs worked, even if it doesn't mean points then we could have some trouble winning this one. A bunch of 3 and outs wont do Nebraska any favors. I'd have to assume that we'll struggle for awhile on offense but even a couple first downs would benefit us.
