Bost, Moultrie, Big Sid, & Hood are the core but Bryant and especially Steele are fitting into their roles nicely.

Play like that, with that effort, and we can play with any team in the country. Really came to play tonight and went hard on both ends...

and we need to stay at least a 6 seed or better and I think we got a good chance at making the Sweet16.

is my biggest concern with this team. If Deville can come back and contribute, we will be tough to deal with come March.

to get on a 1996 type of run. The pieces are there. It might have been the black uniform, but Sid looked like he might have actually lost some weight for the first time tonight. He has the talent to get on a Dontae kind of roll and help carry us deep in tourney time. With a very experienced point guard, we have a real chance toshow out late in the season.

I think it is key that we find a way to get a 6 or better seed in the NCAA's. Coach, I think you said earlier that the three games following UGA are the key to the season and I absolutely agree. We really need to find a way to win two of those three (UK would be huge) to begin to solidify better than an 8 seed.

6'5" Shaun Smith that come in and spell Hood for a few minutes really helps. S Smith knows his role and with him we don't drop too much in size at the 3.

Rivalry game, conference win, Top 60 RPI win, onnational tvin front of a packed home crowdwhen our PG had 13 assists. Move along folks, nothing to see here.

This was asolid win, and the margin of victory is not reflective of how much we dominated them. They are solid on the bubble, so they are going to be playing with a bit extra.

It's a good win (as is any win)but to proclaim us a Sweet 16 team based on beating them is a bit much. It's just part of the game here.

We have to build on this, March is getting here quickly, and #1 UK is coming to town. they will feed on 3-4 minute lapses we had tonight.

I'm with youon this and here is why:

From Bracketology here are the projected #1 and #2 seeds

1- Kentucky
1-Missouri
1-Syracuse
1-Ohio State
2-Kansas
2-North Carolina
2-Michigan State
2- Baylor

Playing the 8/9or 7/10 matchup these would be one of the eight teams you would have to face in the second round. Although Mich. St. and Baylor don't particuarly scare me (we've already proved we can hang with Baylor) being at least a 6 seed in the tourney would put you in a matchup with one of these7 teams in the NCAA second round(excluding Florida as I think the the NCAA would matchup us up in different regionals)

3.UNLV
3.Georgetown
3.Duke
4. Marquette
4. Michigan
4. Indiana
4. Wisconsin

Boy oh Boy .. wouldnt you love to get UNLV or Marquette type matchup in the second round ( LSU beat Marquette ), or better yet get a Michigan team that Arkansas manhandled. I would lick my chops at a 5 or 6 seed for the Dogs

It was a very enoyable game. Here's hoping teh GA game Saturday is just as well played.

I like to take them one at a time. Let's fight about GA before we go to the dance. Whay waste a good fight we could have later when we could fight aboutGa?

Is to get a decent seed. If you think about it, any seed lower than 4 isn't supposed to make thesweet 16. Of course, upsets do happen, but it's damn hard to make the sweet 16 if you are seeded lower than 6.Seeds 7-10 are looking at a second round game with a 1 or 2 seed. So what we have to do is win the rest of our home games and not lose to any chickenshit teams on the road. That means South Carolina and Auburn are musts. Both havebad RPI's andwould be considered a "bad" loss and hurt us with the committee. LSU and Alabama losses on the road wouldn't hurt us as much. Kentucky is the key. If we can somehow beat them and avoid the bad losses and we've got a great shot at a 4 or 5 seed.

It was a sweet win, but against a team we should have beaten by at least 10.
Especially at the Hump, if we are a top 20, and desire to go to the top.

Love the win, against them for sure!
The road is still before us.

Then, if we make the finals of the SEC tourney, I think we'll be better than a six seed. The Kentucky game will be huge if we can win it, but they are number one in the nation, so losing that one is not going to hurt our status. We should be favored in the rest of the games, except maybe Alabama. Hopefully, we won't slip at all, but if we do, I hope it's a one-time deal.

Bottom line is that it's gotten pretty exciting around here.

at least 3 of those games (UK, @Bama and likely @LSU) and slight favorites intwo (@USC and @Aub) If we only lose two more that would be an accomplishment worthy of a 5 seed in my opinion. We can do it, but it will be difficult.

We need another big off the bench. These LONG minutes for Moutrie are gonna catch up to him. I read earlier this week where somebody posted that Wendell looked like something might be wrong with him personally based on how he was performing lately. Last night he picked up 3 fouls SO fast it was crazy. It actually prompted Stans to play the Johnson kid. We've gotta either get the Johnson kid more minutes (which he looked like a offensive liability) or figured what's the deal w/ Wendell. Also there is a TREMENDOUS drop off after Dee comes off the floor lately @ the 1. Ball handling is more sloppy, bad passes & terrible angles for our guards to get the ball into the post. We need more moving w/out the ball & better execution once Dee sits down. But Deville DOES help with those things w/ his dribble penetration. But great great game & WAY better atmosphere!

LSU is 13-10 overall and 3-6 SEC. I don't see how we're not favored to beat them. But that's not important. What's important is getting the actual victory.

is proclaiming us to be a Sweet 16 team based on last night's victory. The fact that we are 19-5 and coming off of one of our best performances this season is the reason that most feel like we have sweet 16 potential. </p>

broken 'em down and now built 'em back up. If we could just get Jimmy Chitwood to join up now we would be a tough team to beat down the stretch. Oh wait, nevermind, I was just having a Hoosiers moment.
