It is you who belongs on Gene's Page if you just want sunshine pumping. It is here that one can criticize anyone or anything with impunity. Cool it!

and truly care nothing about your opinion of it. I was respectful, but a spade is a spade.

Apparently, they let Mitchell do what the 17 he wanted...

when he called "and this ballgame is over" with 1:25 (appx) to go in the 2nd overtime. and then bost made a 3 to tie just after that. we know how it ended, so maybe he's on to something.....

You cannot defend his declaration of defeat with more than a minute remaining in the game tonight. Jack was the best when he followed Dudy Noble's instructions to him when he started broadcasting for MSU--and Jack proclaimed for many years that his following those instructions was the secret of his success and fine reputation. The instructions were simple and consisted of three elements: (1) tell the listening audience what is happening on each play of the game; (2) give the audience the score frequently; and (3) no BS. He has forgotten instruction number 3. Prior to the last several years he was regarded as the perfect play by play broadcaster. Unless one knew Jack Cristil, one could not discern from his broadcasts that he was being paid by MSU. That is no longer the case because Jack is a bull in a china shop when it comes to criticizing the officials (something he never did in the first 40 years of his broadcasting--I know because I have been listening to him for more than 40 years) and criticizing our own players. I still love him, but I wish he would revert to his old self in the twilight of his career. He is still a remarkable octogenarian.

but wasn't sure. I thought maybe I missed something and he was saying that about someone fouling out. He was just ready to get outta there - way past his bedtime. I was like - good lord Jack, we've got 90 seconds left & only down by like 5.
