Reason being is that if we hold on to win today we'll be the 6 seed in the tourney. With Tennessee beating Vandy today, they'll either be the 2 or 3 seed in the tourney. If Fla loses, Tennessee will be the 2 seed and we wouldn't face them until a potential semifinal matchup. If Fla wins, then Tennessee will be the 3 seed and we'd face them in the quarters.

Now we "should" be in if we win today and beat UGA in the first round, but a loss to Tennessee would hurt us a lot more than a loss to Vandy and Tennessee is playing really good ball right now. This is the only scenario I could see happening to where we miss the NCAA tourney if we win today and the first round game.

I'm afraid the UT game in round 2 (if Florida wins tomorrow) could turn into a play in game for the NCAA. TN as #3 seed in the SEC and advancing further than MSU in the SEC-T by beating them head to head is not a scenario I want being discussed by the selection committee. Our RPI's would be very close if they beat us even though we are16 spots ahead of them right now.

I think a UK win tomorrow means we win 1 in New Orleans and are dancing. If UF wins tomorrow, we may have to beat both Georgia and Tennessee to get in.

I personally don't think UF matches up very well at all with Kentucky, but stranger things have happened.
