Man we have come a long way under Mullen. I remember just 6 years ago sitting in the Stands with maybe 20k other people. It looked like Ole Miss - Northwestern State every game

I remember how you could recline and stretch out over all of the empty rows. Of course most of the time I would be doubled over because of the sickening product on the field.

We were never that bad

by halftime and deeper in the games yes it could be empty...but you can never compare us to that NW- OM game a few years ago.

I have three in section 3. Ive had a request in for a fourth ticket forever. I read something on here last week (cant remember what) that sparked me to call the ticket office to see what they had extra. The lady told me there were only a few lower level single seats left. I ended up grabbing one in section 2 that Ill probably not even sit in this year. With the re seating next year, I hope to be able to get them all together.

Reminds me of the scene in Major League when Bob Uecker

said "listen to that crowd cheer for their Indians" (as he starts swinging the microphone in all kinds of directions outside the press box desperately trying to pick up sound from someone...anyone).

I am sure there is a painfully simple answer to this question and I will be doing the biggest face palm in history when I hear it but I have to ask anyway. I saw the tweet that said we had sold out again and that was 41,000 season tickets which included the 11,000 student tickets. DWS seats over 50,000. If the 41,000 tickets sold to get a sell out is counting the 11,000 student tickets, what are the other 10K+ tickets that have been sold? Are those single game tickets that have already been purchased? I was considering making this season the year I took my kids to their first football gamebut if the only tickets that are to be availalbe are from scalpers or stub hub then I may not unless I can find someone that has some extras or aren't going to a game.

I think it was UAB 2004. We beat Tulane and didn't win again until Florida.

2006 was pathetic. We may not have averaged 40,000 for the season.

Take the kids, stand outside the stadium somewhere with them (make sure they are wearing maron & whit) and tell the kids to hold up a finger. Someone will give you tickets guaranteed. During the early to mid 2000's (yes the lean years) my kids were big into travel softball and soccer so we missed a lot of weekends and I quit buying season tix. On the weekends we did go to 'Vegas all it took was for the kids to be there and we NEVER had to buy a ticket. I reciprocate now, anytime I've got a couple extras I scope out a parent w/ a kid and give them to them. <17> those scalping ba$tard$ and the Budweiser, Kellogs and Blockbuster cars they drive

Smart move. We have 10 but 2 of them are down the row from the other 8. Hopefully put them together for reseating.

That's pretty impressive. How much will the season ticket allotment be after the expansion?

I remember being able to stretch out in the east upper deck, but the past few years, it is standing room only up there. Have to just walk to the top to avoid suffocation. I liked my season tickets up there, but with so many people jamming in to every available seat, it makes it really uncomfortable. I'm paying for those chair back things this year. I remember against Arkansas barely being able to see and the upper deck swaying a bit every time we made a big play. Expansion is long overdue for the highest demand premier sporting event in the State.

We increased official capacity by 7,000. I bet 1000 of those go to visitors so I would say a shade under 50K.

I saw a rebel attacking Veazy on twitter for reporting that State sold out of the allotment of season tickets. This rebel thought it was ******** because we were still selling three game mini packs, so we weren't really sold out.

So, two key points for the trolls to remember: one, the word allotment means not all tickets available, but only those allotted for season ticket holders. Two, mini-pack tickets are made up of tickets returned that were originally allotted for visiting fans, according to the State ticket office.

In short, all State home games will be hard sellouts this year, just like they have for the previous several seasons.
