In his opening, Croom said this: "They came in here with the idea they were going to kick our rear ends and they did that from start to finish," Croom said. "Why what happened today occurred, I'm sorry to say, is an absolute mystery to me. We were challenged from the time the game started and we didn't respond with the kind of intensity I would expect our football team to respond with. To say the least, I didn't see that one coming. Hopefully, I can learn something from this one as well."

Are you serious. I swear I hope I never here the name Sly Croom for the rest of my life.

from the rest of Veazey's blog, with Croom repeatedly raising his voice in answers to reporters questions, one can hope he has that attitude w/ his meeting w/ Byrne.

Reminds me of Emory Bellard burning Louis Clark's redshirt because he played him at blocking tight end his freshman year.

Arceto is a descendant of the same gene pool that saw brothers Louis play six years in the NFL and Dave play 13 years in MLB. Louis was a receiver at MSU in the mid-80s and played on Bellard's last team. Would have been a Moulds-grade receiver with another year of development, but he'd spent his rookie year supposedly learning to block DEs and LBs - a task he'd never done one single down in life up until that point.

Now another burnout has done the same. When someone says "tradition" and "MSU" in the same sentence, that's the sort of pattern I think of.

. . . surely he's shopping for a new school over the holidays. Did he play more than 10 plays this year?
