Actually, it was 9-9 at that point, and according to Jim Ellis, it was hit softly enough to where he would have beat out the DP.

i am grinning from ear to ear that we are winning........but i know in the back of my mind, that usa could have easily, very easlily won this game....much like we could have easily won one, if not two against UA saturday....thats not baseball.....that is what separates the men from the boys, or, good teams from bad...

So, SOMEBODY was hitting. An error may have opened the door, but we executed at the plate once the door was open.
USA is a dangerous team- they beat Alabama and Auburn on the road this year. They also beat a pretty good Tulane team. Like I said, I was worried about this game- because it was on the road and because I knew that we weren't going to use Pollorena or Graveman.

You take what the other team gives you....and then you make them pay. Many times this year, the other team has given...and MSU gave right back...
Oh...and in that profitable 10 run 7th tonight we also had a batter strike out on a wild pitch and reach first early in the inning, AND... had a batter with a 3-0 count on him, the pitcher threw a strike and the catcher muffed it allowing a run to score. As has been said... when you play pitty pat with the ball in the field, you gotta pay...and for once, at least, MSU made em pay.

because of a throwing error, and we ***** about it. Gosh damn, do you ***** when we score a TD even though the defense blew a coverage or missed several tackles for us to score. Capitalizing on your opponents mistakes is part of every game. I'm with Todd on this one, USA has always played us tough plus we were on the road...good road win. Plus the bottom of our lineup is really starting to produce....this is a good thing!
