Definitely, if only because they'll want it to be a ranked matchup in the Swamp

UK came into this one ranked #30 in both polls. I think UT and Texas A&M were the only teams ranked #16 to #29 to lose today so I'd say we need to beat UF to get back into the top 25 soon.

If anything they’ll put us 25 and Tennessee 26 and first skip up we’re down to 40.

Here is what teams 15-25 did this week

15 Vanderbilt lost vs Oklahoma
16 BYU lost at Kansas and vs Houston
17 Florida did not lose
18 Virginia did not lose
19 Saint Louis did not lose
20 Clemson did not lose
21 Arkansas did not lose
22 St John's did not lose
23 Miami OH did not lose
24 Louisville did not lose
25 Tennessee lost at Kentucky

So no team from 17-24 lost

Coming into the week Kentucky was 30th in the voting and Bama was 27th and Iowa was 28th

So unless the voters jump Kentucky past Bama I don't see them getting into top 25 because unless they drop BYU all the way out of the top 25

BYU has now lost 4 in a row. We should definitely be ranked ahead of them. No team who loses 4 straight and 5 of their last 6 should be ranked ahead of a team whose won 8 of their last 9.

It all comes down to BYU and Bama. Tennessee for sure is dropping out.

Bama was ahead of Kentucky in vote pts and got a big win at Auburn.

I think BYU would have to fall all the way for Kentucky to get in but we will find out tomorrow.

Hopefully it happens.

It should also be about who they beat, as well…not that the Cats beat Zona and Duke this week or anything, but I could see them jumping teams if those teams had 1 or 2 quad 3 type wins

BYU lost again! They’ve lost 4 straight and 5 out of 6. They are 1-5 against top 25 teams, yet are somehow still ranked.
It wouldn't shock me if BYU and Vandy both fell out of the top 25 along with UT. But, alas, unless they drop somebody that won out of the top 25 UK only moves up to 27-28. It's okay; every win as an underdog is a few more votes for SEC coach of the year for Pope.

ranking #25 ... and well earned so far. Hard losses and all. There's a lot of blood sweat and tears mixed in with that #25. We're not looking for pity. It's respect. I think #25 signifies that they have earned at least, that much.

I think the thought is that UK has beaten Indiana, St. john's and was super close with UNC*** and the major selling point now is sweeping the VOLS.

And UT has been in the top 25 all year long, right? at least, were .... so we are clearly better than them in the resume dept. (apologies to Bozzie boy for UT)

Huge game at Florida, they were set and ready and primed to give us at least a #25 beside our nasme going in there, even if we do lose.

By Gawd, they are going to know they have been in one hellofa fight before it's all said and done next Saturday. If what we have witnessed, all these years, all these road games white out, orange out, gold out, blackout, rappelling tiger mascots from the rafters in Baton Rouge, to a Vol player leading Tennessee out onto the court riding a unicycle ....

those are "superbowl games" ?? Of course they are. Actually winning a home game when Kentucky comes to town has kept SEC coaches employed for years, baby !

well, we got a bye week this year before our biggest regular season game to date. The college basketball world will once again collectively be watching.

That's why they play the games and keep count of who wins and loses

Beat those Gators, boys !

Go Big Blue !

Surprised the voters jumped Cats over Bama.

26th in the coaches poll

Well at least we have this for 5 days then it is back out of the rankings after Florida crushes.

According to the ESPN metrics if UK wins Duke moves up 3 spots and if UK loses Duke moves up 4 spots. Therefore by beating UT we lost 8 spots and Duke was crowned champions of the regular season for the next 5 years due to the denim bylaws.

Lmao good one! Also, LMAO they’re STILL ranked after losing 4 straight and 5 out of 6! What a joke! Ranked 3/4 spots higher than we are!
It's like, with AJ playing for them, they are getting the dUKe treatment in the polls, all of a sudden this year.
