This is his 4th illness from this year, from the story I read on ESPN Thurs when it was announced he missed practice. The story claimed he hadn't missed a game because of these illness issues that keep coming up for him. ???? He had covid last year, so he should have natural immunity and they have made it clear it's non covid related this time also.

Two others also experiencing sickness this week. Wide receiver Bateman and center Bozeman missed practice with same illness. Had nothing to do with the virus or Lamar having his jersey retired.

I think Lamar has had two different bouts that were Covid related. This is something else.

I think we're seeing the flu coming back which would mean covid is losing steam. My best friend who had Covid in 2020 just last week got sick but he tested negative for Covid. He had a 3 day flu.

I think Lamar probably had the flu.

Several of our guys were battling the flu this past week. It can wipe you out. After the Sugar Bowl I got the flu and it knocked me out for days.

Long term after effects of Covid are TBD. Lamar could be experiencing a compromised immune system because of his two bouts. I’m actually a little worried for him.

Reports are they don’t know what it is. He can’t shake it.

Very rare to get covid 2x. I'm no doctor but for an elite athlete he seems to have some immunity system issues.

A big thing to note that if someone doesn't get the COVID vaccine, they're likely to not get the Flu shot either. Not to mention, probably less likely to go to the doctor.

Not weighing in on vaccines, but the issue recently from a lot of areas with COVID deaths are the patients are usually not going to the doctor or getting treatment when they first have symptoms. Even if you don't believe in the vaccine, if you're sick go get treated. Don't try to tough any illness out.

Not so fast my friend. I know several folks who got it twice. Two folks I know got it well after their vaccine kicked in.

Me to. I know three people who got the vaccine and have tested positive for covid months later. Two had no symptoms.

As for me I have never had a flu shot and I have had the flu maybe once in the five decades I've been on the planet. I tested positive for covid way back in July of 2020 but had no symptoms.

Some people just have better immune systems than others. My body is great at combating viruses but not so much with losing hair or my eyesight. I had cataracts removed before I'm 60 and I went bald in my 30's.

After listening to CSS, it would appear that the CARDS gave LJ the flu. It was spreading among players here before he came to town. Big issue for team for a couple weeks and finally it's on downturn for team. They went to masks, social distancing aka covid protocol to try to stop it.
