We saw what was in it, and we passed it!

Remember Nancy Pelosi saying "we have to pass it, before we know what's in it" on Obamacare? Well House Republicans knew what was in this bill, and passed it anyway. No, it's not perfect, but I will 100% guarantee no one returns their tax cut that's contained in this bill! (every Democrat voted against making your tax cut permanent too btw) 😏

House Republicans pass Trump’s big bill of tax breaks and program cuts after all-night session

excerpt:
Central to the package is the GOP’s commitment to extending some $4.5 trillion in tax breaks they engineered during Trump’s first term in 2017, while temporarily adding new ones he campaigned on during his 2024 campaign, including no taxes on tips, overtime pay, car loan interest and others.

...more

To make up for some of the lost tax revenue, the Republicans focused on changes to Medicaid and the food stamps program, largely by imposing work requirements on many of those receiving benefits. There’s also a massive rollback of green energy tax breaks from the Biden-era Inflation Reduction Act.

Now it goes to the Senate, which will hopefully clean up some of the mess the House couldn't fix...then the two versions will go to reconciliation and be sent to the President as "one big beautiful bill" he can sign for the American people by July 4th.

I'll sign it too!

Oh we know 'ya will DJT....and tick off Leftists while you're at it!

Yeah that too!

They will be too busy resisting, get pepper sprayed, and getting hit with batons to come up with any ideas to help Americans.
I'm very happy the bill passed. I'm proAmerica. I don't work anymore and for self interest I'd like to have no tax on SS. I don't think it's possible though.

I still work and work a gross amount of OT ....I'd rather see them cut taxes on s.s than overtime. Those dirty bastards screwed that system up least they can do is not tax it .

they wouldn't pay for all of this by printing money would they?
Not exactly. They're letting us (taxpayers who earned it) keep more of it instead of sending it off to Washington D.C. to waste. Why weren't you as concerned during the last incompetent administration when that's EXACTLY what they did (printed money) to pay for all of their profligate spending, then they charitably stuck us with the bill and high inflation to boot? 🤔

@cam_blev ...at a loss for words over the Left's "deficit production" programs

They couldn't address S.S. taxes in this package. Something to do with how it's written into Law, cuts in it can't be passed under the budget reconciliation process...has to be a separate stand alone bill as I understand it. They did add at least add 4K tax exemptions for folks making up to 75K and drawing SS benefits. However Trump still wants no taxes on it at all, and I think he will push for a separate bill to do just that, maybe even with some reforms in how it's funded?

It is. However they need to have it means tested (you opt out, you can reduce your taxes by the amount you would have drawn)...funded by a separate account to where it can't be used to offset discretionary spending...and allow younger folks to invest their benefits into tax free interest bearing accounts or into private equity markets.

I think that's coming in a package of reforms Republicans will introduce later once the economy turns around.

WATCH: FDA Commissioner
@DrMakaryFDA
testifies on the FDA's FY 2026 budget:"We don't allow FDA inspectors anymore to accept limo rides from the pharmaceutical manufacturing companies they are there to expect. I'm amazed at some of the stuff I'm learning when I look under the hood."

That USAID was nothing but a Left wing money laundering operation. I mean it was unreal how much money they were siphoning off from taxpayers, and funneling back into Left wing NGO's (non government organizations) or Democrat affiliated non profits (501 C 3s) who'd then use the money to fund Leftist candidates or various Left wing causes.

Unreal.

DOGE claims it found $4.7 trillion in Treasury payments that are ‘untraceable’

excerpt
Expenditure for the federal government in fiscal year 2024 – which started October 1 2023 to September 30, 2024 – was $6.75 trillion, according to data. The government has spent more than $2.4 trillion in the fiscal year 2025, according to an analysis of monthly Treasury statements. The figure DOGE gave of the alleged near-impossible-to-trace payments would represent almost 70 percent of total federal spending last year.

Can you imagine "losing" almost 5 trillion dollars? Let that sink in for a minute! DOGE says it can't trace where nearly 5 TRILLION DOLLARS allocated in Federal spending last fiscal year has gone?

Lord have Mercy!

It was over a longer period of time.
