We should give up football

It's been neglected for too long. You've got an AD that has no clue about being successful coaches, see BG and JP, now MS. The 2 most important hires are football and basketball. Those are the 2 sports that make money for all your other programs. Those are the only 2 that really matter
The problem is fans expecting the program to be something more than it can be , U.K. is in the worst position possible to succeed . Best conference ever and one of the worst recruiting bases ever . U.K. never move out of conference and shouldn't , fans need to be realistic about what the program can accomplish . The football program is a bottom feeder and most likely always will be , anybody disagreeing with that needs to show me evidence to the contrary . If your expecting something a whole lot better than what you've witnessed for 60 years then I don't know what makes you think that will or can happen .
But basketball doesnt make money. Schools like Duke, UNC, and UK break even or make a little more than they spend.
They made 7.5 million last year. That is not breaking even or little more than they spend.
