The only Saturday game is Chicago Taft, and they are big favorites over Chicago Foreman. The only other snag is a potential playoff points tie between Naperville North and Oswego East at #15/ #16. Of course the Huskies have to get past WWS's explosive offense for that to happen. If NN can get it done against the Tigers, they should have the same DOW (defeated opponent wins) as Oswego East. The IHSA would then let a computer or coin flip determine the higher seed. NN needs Metea Valley to upset LWC or Sandburg to upset LWW to move past OE. NN drops to #22 seed if they lose to WWS.

I don't know anything about Metea Valley this year but LWC is a solid football team. Cordell and the influx of LWE talent has got them going in the right direction so I would guess LWC in this one.
As for LWW, which Offense shows up determines this game. If the O that played HF, Normal and Lockport shows up - Sandburg. If the O that just played (a not very good) Thornridge team shows up - LWW. I think Sandburg is a little better than their 3 - 5 record indicates so NN has a shot with this outcome.
Have Bloom (8a) losing a close one with Rich East (5a). If Bloom wins, will they have enough playoff points?

Interesting that all the Southland Conference teams play OOC the last week of the season. Could get (8) points or (0) points. Not many teams have that benefit/detriment going on with mostly conference games being played.
Having seen Bloom play LWW, I would take Bloom in their game. Bloom dominated LWW for the first 20 minutes of the game (up 20 - 3) before a TO led to a LWW TD and a bad coaching decision led to a blocked punt TD in the closing seconds of the first half. Momentum (and Defense) took over from there. Bloom has the talent but can they fully utilize it for 4 quarters is the question.
