We simply have to have Norris or Porter

In the line-up. We have too many singles hitters and need some guys in there that might actually hit a double.

Frost can't bounce the ball to 2nd. That can't happen
Henderson took 2 FB's down the middle because he didnt want to ****. Then promptly hit into another double play. I've never seen anybody hit into 3 of tthe we pulled Lindgren too early. Let him grow as a pitcher and see how he responds after the HR
Jaegerbombs after drinking beer all day is stupid and painful

Norris

can't hit to save his life right now. Cohen gave him two redemption shots last night and he blew it. Frost is a better hitter than him right now

Norris is hitting .340. I prefer Porter in the line-up anyway, but with Rea hurting- that keeps us from using him at DH

I've been a Cohen supporter throughout and still am, but I feel like we need to get as much offense on the field as possible, even if it means a slightly weaker defense. I think Cohen likes pirtle because he is a switch hitter, but if you are hitting below .200 it doesn't matter. Pirtle needs to go and if Frost has to be in the lineup, he can play second. What I want to see is a lineup with Detz at second and Porter and maybe flair at DH. I'd also like to see more of robson and less henderson. As much as henderson screws up the ****, i'm surprised cohen hasn't had an aneurism and pulled him.

Too many singles hitters? I wasn't aware we actually had that many hitters.

We lead the SEC in batting average, 3rd in slugging, 2nd OB%, 1st runs, 1st hits, 1st RBI, 1st doubles, 1st triples, 1st total bases. Obviously we can't hit**

Hitting has not been our problem for us thusfar. In the 3 losses, we've had 8, 11, and 10 hits -- and were outhit in none of those games.

TWICE we left bases loaded; a key single here or there would have made a difference. We did pull our starter too quickly.

Have to agree with engie here. Hitting isn't what's letting us down. That would be much easier to understand. "Hey, we just don't have the talent, wait until next year". Too bad that's not the case. We're being held back by errors and ridiculous lineup and in-game decisions.

Lately we have been losing games on walks, hit batsmen and errors. But last night we even went a step further and added in the wild pitches. Even with Frost's throwing error putting men at 1st and 2nd with nobody out in the 6th, if Girodo doesn't make 2 wild pitches LSU doesn't score the tying run and likely we win in 9 innings. We are our own worst enemy at the moment. I can handle giving up the HR ball better than just handing out runs to teams.

That's baseball though. When you make mistakes, good teams make you pay for them. LSU made us pay for basically every one of our mistakes last night, while we didn't really capitalize on what I thought should have been scored as AT LEAST 4 infield errors for them. This team is pressing right now -- and it's showing in the mental errors that fry us in close games. We need a dominant pitching performance to bail us out of this funk -- and I'm the only person out on the limb right now saying that I think we've got a great chance to get that performance from Mitchell tonight.

The mentality has to change with both our staff and players, since we've gone from being a major underdog that's hiding weaknesses and having to get creative to win games -- to being a favorite and just having to play solid fundamental ball to win games. We're struggling with the transition to that right now both as a coaching staff and as players.
