and know everything there is to know about football so our predictions will be brilliant. Nope: All that computer at CalPreps knows about high school football is the final scores of games. It went 12-0 this weekend. It's 33-3 over the past 2 weeks.
We did a bracket challenge on the 2A board and not 1 of us picked Glenvar to make it to the State Championship... or the State Semis.... and a few picked them to lose in the 2nd round... shows how much we know, right?
I think we think we are smart because we can pick obvious games, but as the teams get closer, randomness starts to rule the day. Hitting anything better than 80%-85% is just luck or else you're picking in an area with a lot of disparity between teams.
Seriously, picking most of these games this weekend is a crap shoot for all of us. We don't know what coaches have up their sleeves, or who's going to fumble when. That's why it's so much fun.
