Not to mention, that's such a ***** mentality. You do realize that if you wait until the games are played, it's no longer a "prediction", don't you?

May not end up going down that way, but it's better than, "I'm going to wait until we're a few games in before I predict how we'll play this year".

Sometimes I wonder if you hit the wrong bookmark when you end up on this board. It's like you follow a completely different program (and dictionary) than the rest of us.

I think our talent level from the previous two years has decreased. Especially now that Johnson is out, that is really going to hurt us because he hastremendoushands and always found a way to get open. Green seemslethargicbut maybe he will improve since this is is last year to prove how good he can be, I think the injury his first year really set him back. On defense I agree that we will be better but I still have questions, when you lose a first rounder it's hard to claim that the D Line will be better.

How can you say we decreased in talent? We have all of our WR's back + a talented RSFr in Morrow...we have our OLine with a year more of experience + Tobias back....and a QB that can throw the football. The only loss on offense is Ballard (which is significant), and Malcolm for half the season (and "always found a way to get open", may be stretching it a bit). Please tell me where our talent has decreased on offense from last year.

my friend, IF the line is better than last year. If it's not then we will stuggle to get to what we did last year. If you can't block it's a moot point what type of QByou have. Our favorite old HS team is in much the same boat. They have most everyone back EXCEPT the two biggeststarting linemen. If they can replace them they will be better than last year, if not they won't be.

You were right about losing 3 OL, i had an admitted mental lapse on that....

But, we have our best and most experience Lineman in Tobias back, an All SEC caliber lineman in Gabe, a Very solid Center with more experience returning, Clausell is back and will be better with a year under his belt.... And by the way....Green at TE is much better than what you're making it out to be.

ETA: I'm and idiot about Carmon...not sure what the 17 I was thinking on that one. I stand by the rest of my argument though.

Marcus Green had the same number of receptions as Malcolm Johnson last year (11)...and only 18 fewer yards receiving. So it appears that Green also "always finds a way to get open"...right? Terrible

Lol! "McCaleeb is better than Perkins!" "Auburn is far more talented than us!" Blah, blah, blah. We've all heard your ******** before! Do us all a favor & go to Toomers corner & join the War Eagle faithful. No true Maroon wants flacid, limp spirited dumbasses like you as fans anyway. I'm sure you still wallow in self doubt about not clibing the rope in gym class & think Ms. Peabody was mean to you by keeping you after class because you drew on your desk back in 3rd grade. I'm sorry you believe what you believe as far as a state fan. People with your mentality are what is preventing the rest of state fans garnering respect from the other 13 fanbases in this conference. You think you are doing us a favor by "keeping it real?" The fact of the matter is you are the reverse old bear fans. The older fanbase that won't let the days of getting beat by Maine or beating the hell out of Bama back in 1972 in Tuscaloosa 58-14. Those days are OVER! No matter if you say **** like "old habits die hard" this is a NEW day! New administration! New staff! New.players! New SEC as a whole! You are why the NCAA is doing what they did at Penn St! 2 simple words! CULTURE CHANGE! A simple phrase that is hard and daunting and sometimes terrifying. Sometimes cultures NEED to change before tjey can move forward. It's why Stuart Mandel from SI said that the Ole Miss job is the worst in the nation! Not because of facilities, not because of recruiting bsses or current players....because of the OLDER FAN BASE WON'T STOP COMPLAINING! And in your case whining! Your the old man in the stands that gets pissed because my 9 yr old kid loves to ring his cowbell RESPONSIBLY! You're old man who gets upset when we're in overtime Vs. Arkansas and it's "too loud"? Do us ALL a favor.......GET OFF THE 17ing tracks the train is coming through!

Coach predicting 10-2, anyone suggesting that we might lose to AU, SC or UGA was chastised as being an idiot. The only difference is that there are more ruhtards on the board now than ever. Hell, some dude challenged another dude to a penis drawing catface fight in this very thread, and somehow he escaped criticism. That **** should never fly.

believe we're some ****** team as you just said. But first lets look at who we're talking about here as well. Apparently shsdawg has his "own" definition of what the word "talent" means. Even though Websters & other dictionary publications actual definition has been posted on his threads. He STILL clings to some idiotic belief that HIS definition is the REAL one. Then you have this dumbass Bogeygolfer who has GOT to be a real Auburn fan trolling this site. Because he's gotta be the biggest knob-slobberer of Auburn on here. I want to actually meet these 2 dumbasses, like literally! Especially after the Auburn game and draw a orange and blue penis on Bogeygolfers chin as it's about to penetrate his pie hole. And tattoo the word "TALENT" on shsdawgs forehead! You 2 dumbasses are why bear fans still have a chuckle at our expense. I bet if Meagan Fox were naked in your rooms ready to get it on, you 2 flacid, fellows would find SOMETHING wrong w/ her. Like her breath isn't quite fresh enough or she has a small mole on her right boob. What a bunch of pansey *** pusscakes! 17ing grow a pair! Bogey, pull Pat Dye's rasins out of your mouth & staple them to where your "man patch" used to be. You 17ing better hope we lose to Auburn, if we don't I'm gonna wear you two Nancys out!

and 51% touchdowns (all stats against conf). So- other than that - we are the same as last year. Oh - and we have 3 less OL that played last year and 1 of whom we arecounting on that may or may not be 100% to start the season. I'm good on O.

We're in the same position as last year. We have schedule where the difference between being good enough to win 9 games and good enough to win 6 games is pretty small, and we have a team that's going to be right on the edge, with some things that need to go right to get us over the edge (last year: find an OT, avoid injuries on the line, find a pass rusher; this year: find an OT, have a healthy T. Smith and avoid injuries on the line, replace Cox, have a healthy Whitley). 6-6 is a distinct possibility depending on how things go.

But all the idiotic statements he made (e.g., struggling to beat Troy, not being able to play pass defense, criticizing us for playing off the line of scrimmage when we don't have a 17ing pass rusher, guaranteed losses against auburn and potential upset against Tenn) followed by a statement that he's usually right was trolling (at least I hope it was for his sake and that he's not that stupid).

We have struggled to beat UAB the last two years, especiallyin 2010 after the win at UF. I see the Troy game as a trap game after the Auburn game. Our defense last year was built to playagainstteams that would run right at you. Teams like LSU and Bama, this is why we played them so well. Our defense is not built to play wellagainstteams like Arkansas,A&M and Houston with Keenum. Even if we were lacking a pass rush, Arkansas made us look foolish. We should have at least tried to jamtheirreceiversat the line of scrimmage, what else did we have to lose? Hell, they hung 44 on us! Potential upset of Tenn is a foolish statement? As a state fan, you are actuallyguaranteeinga winagainstTenn? Surely you've learned your lesson by now.

but we didn't. 11-8, and that was at home.

For his bravado, one thing I have actually learned from the Stallion is this. When you are Mississippi State, there are no gimmes on your schedule. The same thought process that leads you to believe that we could beat Arkansas, a team we are 4-15-1 against since 1992 or Auburn, a team we are 6-14 against in that same period, has to lead to the belief that a Troy could jump up and beat us. We can screw around and lose a hell of a lot easier than we can just show up and win.

It sets up horribly for us. We are 3 TDs better but it's at their place after a hugely emotional game for us. We are showing up, they are going to be pumped up. We should still win but some buttholes will pucker. I'm not with you on 6-6, I'm more 8-4 or 7-5 but I do have to laugh at the people acting like we will steam roll TN because they were 5-7 last year. Yet they act like we should automatically increase our win total and it's impossible for TN (or Troy for that matter) to do the same. I see both sides of the argument. I have more hope than you, but I see your point.

Carmon moved in the preseason.

We lost Carmon, Saulsberry, and Lawrence. That's 3 starters.

Who the hell guaranteed a win against UT? It will be close to a toss-up and not only are you claiming it will take an upset for us to win(when we would be favored as of right now)you're acting like it's going to be take lightning striking for us to beat a below average SEC team.
