I assume he meant the entire buyout, but I hope not. This tells me he was basically fired but allowed to resign first.

Exactly. Anybody that thought croom was leaving on his own and without a settlement were only fooling themselvesCoach34 said:anytime a contract isnt fulfilled and he isnt going to another job, that person has been fired
So your telling me you have never heard of someone just retiring or getting feed up and quitting? Dick Vermeil, Ron Polk, Dean Smith, Bill Snyder, Lute Olson.Coach34 said:that had years left on a contract, "resigned", didnt have another job, and then werent paid for the remaining time on their contracts?
True, Peac-hes only asked for 5 examples and I provided, he didn't mention they had to be in a certain context. My only point was that it was possible, not that it was likely.TomnolenReb said:Each of those left and were winners. Polk you could argue, but he pretty much just said F it. Big difference in "leaving on your own" when your teams suck ***.

I have no clue if these people got a "buy out" or how many years they had left on their contract, but I am pretty sure they were under contract and were not paid a buy-out.
Yeah, I read what you typed and answered what you typed. It is not my fault you want to change the rules after I gave you the examples you requested. I think your missing the point, all I was saying is that it was possible, not that it is what happened. For all I know, Croom is moving to a remote island and retiring or already has a job lined up.Coach34 said:1. 2. The rest of these guys left because they were all ancient and retired..Crooms is 54, he isnt retiring- he was fired.
aGAIN- find somebody that had years left on the contract, younger than damn 65, that didnt have another job, and didnt get paid.
