10-4 with this bunch is pretty good. We have zero depth and have played about 15 different lineups, but these guys don't quit. You have to attribute that to Cohen. At 4-0 in the 8th, I doubted they could come back and I was wrong. I still have that ole Polk ball in me. Winning anything more than 1 game this weekend would be huge, if the weather holds.

That is a big if. Hopefully we will be able to get 2 in on Sunday

We've played 15 different lineups in only 14 games.

Seriously, 10-4 is an outstanding record for this team heading into SEC play (with what should have been a forfeit added to that). We've won almost half as many games as in all of last season already.

with John Cohen.

One thing I've learned about Cohen so far is that you might as well at least run by the stadium if a game is scheduled because he's going to play if he can.

And if the other team leaves, we're gonna have a scrimmage.

What? No mention of the winning run being scored in the bottom of the ninth after being moved over from 2nd the 3rd on an unheard of SACRIFICE BUNT?

I had very little belief that we could come back in the 8th, especially as long as their starter, I think his name was Berry, was on the mound. He was lights out for almost the entire game.

They probably pulled the trigger for the bullpen a little quick even though we got the first two guys on. It was apparent that the reliever they brought in didn't do any good at all(as evidence by yanking him some 4 batters or so later).

It was a great game nonetheless, and a great win to get to 10 wins before conference play.

The weather will be a ***** so I'm expecting a DH on Sunday as it was 30-40% on Sunday depending on where you looked.

We need one win at least. Two would be fantastic. They went down last night but it took a lot of runs to do it and I just dont know if we can keep up with their bats

because I think we all need to take a realistic look at this MSU team. I can't remember the last time I saw an MSU baseball team with probably NO serious candidates for first team All-SEC up and down the lineup OR on the pitching staff but that's pretty much our situation with this team. And I'm not talking about making 1st team, I'm just talking about being a legitimate candidate. My personal feeling is that if John Cohen can take this team and sneak into ANY regional anywhere he has done a masterful job. Based on the talent level of this team it appears to me Polk had been planning his retirement for the past 3 years because he sure wasn't recruiting.

immediately I thought "well, last year's team lost 3 to baylor though", but looking back, Baylor didnt even make a regional so Im not sure last year's first 14 were any more difficult than this years.
