i'm actually predicting a 4 win season this year....all i'm saying is that from looking at the scheldule, this is a defining point in the season and if we were to steal a game from anybody, this is it.....if i were to bet against the odds all year, this would be the only time.

careers by losing two to MSU (think we beat Dye his first year & that was it until the end; never beat Tater Tot til his last 2 years).

Our offense won't be able to move the ball, plus their no-huddle offense will give our defense fits.

there weren't any "we can beat Auburn" threads this time last year, and you see how that worked out. Forgive us for having a glimmer of hope that we can beat a team at home we beat on the road last year.

so let's do exactly what he says (because he matters so much) and go back to shitting on MSU.

On behalf of many including myself.....jack, go <17> yourself.

Because if I expect a win, there is no way in hell it will happen. On paper, this looks like a scrimmage for Auburn. Kind of like our La Tech game for us or the MSU game last year for Auburn...

This should be an interesting game for MSU. You tend to learn a lot more from your 2nd game than you do from your first. I'm not counting D-2 SELA as your second game, because you can't learn anything from that. So that makes this your second real test of the year. If you come out and get beat by 2+ TDs, it'll prove that La. Tech wasn't so much of a fluke, and you'll be in for a long season. However, if you come out and play the game tight or pull off an upset, it'll prove that there may still be a good chance that your team has something left to be able to put together a solid season.

You'll find out a lot more about your team this weekend. I'll be curious to watch, mainly because it's an SEC game, but also because I'm curious to see how your team responds and whether or not you are going to put up much of a fight this year in the league.

that has nothing to do with the post you replied to, in which I was defining jackstefano as a ********** with a mistaken view of his internet self-esteem.

But i do think it will be very close (if we dont turn it over). I think we will see a very timid and conservative offense to limit turnovers. I also think that AU's qb is gonna have to have some nerves (both of em). One is untested and the other was our ***** last year. To me our problem is gonna be with our special teams. In a close game special teams wins, and ours is almost comedic. I see alot of three and outs by our offense followed by 20 yard punts. I think our defense is good enough to hold em to field goals at first, but by the end of the game we will be too tired. If we do win then I will be the happiest guy in the stadium (married to a war tiger). By the way, if we lose because of special teams my cowbell will be smashed into a thousand lifeless pieces. Which brings up the question. Will you be more frustrated if we get blown out or if we lose because our punter has a glass foot?

Winning this Sat. will not prove LaTech was a fluke, it will just be a fluke.
Of course, anytime we win a game it is a fluke and everytime we lose it is really legit. idiot

But the LA Tech game this year was a bit of a fluke too. If we played them 10 times at their place, we'd win 7 easily. Even with Croom as our coach. That said, overall, he's just not getting the job done and the sooner we all realize that and get rid of him the better.

He had a winning season last year and he is 2 games into this season and you are ready to can him because he osnt getting the b done. Can you not at least wait until the end of the season before you start calling for his head? What of he somehow turn it around this year? Does he still need to go?

another winning season out of his *** this year then I'll go along with you but with LaTech already in the L column I don't think breaking even is even possible. Sure we have a chance to pull the upset but with what I've seen of us and them, our offense will struggle to score at all........unless Heydog is right and we have been using trickery and passing to confuse the opposition.

I will admit that I was wrong. I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen though.

Is that they have 2 QB's that have never played at Scott Field and have never heard all our damn cowbells.

Thus critical errors on their part may happen.

you have to do is say "I was wrong" if we go 7-5? Damn......don't you think that it would be more appropriate if you said something like..."I really don't know what the hell I am talking about when it comes to football. I just spew **** constantly in order to build internet cred against my alma mater" if we pull off a winning record?

Cause I'll say anything you damn well please if Croom posts a winning record this year as long as you'll say it if he doesn't.

I don't have to say anything if he does or doesn't have a winning season. I have neither praised or bashed. I simply prefer to see how the season plays out and then make a comment on the end results. I'm not a positive sheep or a negative sheep.

You don't have the cognitive ability to form an opinion.

You do realize you are on a message board, where OPINIONS are expressed, right?

this year will you admit that after 5 full seasons Croom is a bust. I'm willing to wait until the end of the season, but we did lose our first game to La Tech. That really doesn't help the case for Croom. At this point (because we are better off with our current coach being successful) I will hope for the at least 6 and a good recruiting class.

Who do you want to replace Croom?

I'm not taking up for the millioniare Croom, I'm just asking.

MSU (the "poor school") has a huge financial investment in Croom.

Croom has earned some of that money by vastly improving recruiting, but I guess 6pack logic dictates:

1. The best recruits will bail once MSU starts losing this year.

2. The new & better coach can take Croom's outstanding recruits & win games.
