I missed the game yesterday as my Grandson was playing traveling baseball. I was wearing maroon and before our game even started had two different Reb's make a somewhat snide remark, although maybe in jest, about MSU. I wore my MSU dress shirt to church today and went grocery shopping later. While it was not where I could actually hear it another shopper wearing OM attire made a remark that made his wife snicker and to tell said husband to shut up.

While I may poke fun at my OM friends I have never done as such? My question is, do any of you guys ever do that to complete strangers?

Nope. All fan bases have them though.

I used to have an MSU sticker on my old truck. I was in Oklahoma at a mall and came back to a sheet of paper in my windshield wiper that said Hotty Toddy. I thought that was pretty funny.

I got tons of high fives and 'attaboys' yesterday brewery hopping in Charlotte after the victory. It was awesome, SEC fans, Big12 fans, even a couple B1G fans all congratulated us on the victory.

Made it back home in time to go to the saints game. Decided to take along my state koozie. It's not like a koozie is a very noticeable thing but I was having complete strangers say 'hail state' in my direction. That's another thing I've noticed, when people that didn't go to state want to make a comment about my hat/shirt/etc they are saying 'hail state' now. There's not many state fans where I live so it's odd.

So, are you guys saying next time someone does that I should kick him in the private? One of the perpetrators was actually mopping the floor at McDonalds as we stopped to get the Grandson a McGriddle.

I noticed in 2 or 3 articles about the game

the writer throws in a "Hail State".

In one of them, near the end of the article, after listing some very positive points the last sentence was "Hail State indeed!"

I think it's catching on.

I was wearing a State polo to lunch after church today in Houston (TX) and got stopped by a family of four so they could tell me "congratulations". Turns out they were Texas fans and were pulling for us to beat Aggie.

Also ran into a bunch of TAMU fans at my son's baseball game today wan all were very congratulatory and handled the loss well.

Yep, I wear State gear all the time here in SC and I've gotten a few Hail States. Amazing thing is EVERYBODY knows Dak by name. He's our Peyton or Tebow.

When you have a fan base that is for the most part humble and does not talk a lot of smack, people respect you more and are less likely to talk smack to you unless of course you are TSUN which nobody likes anyway.
