What do the East and West Coasts have? Oceans. Western and southeastern US? Mountains. What do we have to make up for all of those deficiencies? Complete poop storms. There's beauty in the madness.

Yes! I have lived in Pennsylvania since 1990. And the one thing I miss most about Nebraska are the slobber knocker, kick ***, super cell thunderstorms my sister and I used to chase around the Lincoln area. Nothing like that out here.

I still remember back in the late 70's when we moved to Lincoln, my late parents came to visit about a month after we arrived. I asked my dad how he liked Lincoln and he said he thought it was nice, but he'd never want to move into tornado alley. After reassuring him that tornado alley was really more like Kansas and that Lincoln had no history of bad tornado damage, we spent that night in the basement under tornado warnings. Bless his heart, he never said, "I told you,"
