weather update

My meteorology professor has been saying its gonna rain in the morning for a while, and that lines up with what the models and the area forecasts are saying. I expect it to be overcast with rain chances all morning and thru most of the game. Should be an overall crappy day for a football game, especially since its at 11:20 in the morning. Hopefully the rain will play in our favor for the game.
moon - stars but bring boots and four wheelers to tailgate! THis is going to be interesting. Tailgate areas and grass parking areas sloppy wet!! Standing water in grass area in front of ticket office....
Right now we are about the only place in the NE corner of the Jackson warning area that isnt getting rain. It looks like it will stay dry for the next hour or so but then rain coverage may begin to pick up. But it still is going to rain at some point today before the game starts.

Patches of rain that take 30-45 minutes to pass over are approaching oktibbeha co. Growing in intensity though. urrr

The rain chances will begin to taper off after 4 or so. They have the arrival time of around 9 and thats pretty much dead on, maybe a little earlier. Yeah, these storms are gonna grow in intensity and coverage as the day continues on. After the game though, tailgating will be probably a little bit better than it will be this morning. But that NOAA forecast is usually a very good tool to get good quick info on the area, and its pretty accurate, so I would bookmark that page because I use it all the time. It seems pretty accurate to be except for I think the rain will start before 9 o clock.
But these storms are beginning to propogate to the SE. The overall storm movement is to the NE, but the storms are growing back toward the SE. These storms were moving to the north of us, but it looks we are about to get a lot of rain. I would expect around 8 o clock or just after for it to open up. Its fairly heavy rain too, so it may be a little more miserable than originally thought.
