I have asthma and it actually helped me as weird as it sounds. I havent smoked in years but should not be illegal.
Study was conducted at UCLA to figure out the effects of Marijuana on your lungs. Many thought it would be similar to smoking a cigarette and it would cause your lungs to shrink. They actually found out it causes your lungs to stretch out and expand and increase air flow and max lung capacity. That's why it helped your asthma.
American Lung Association
Lung Health and Marijuana Smoke
Smoking marijuana clearly damages the human lung. Research shows that smoking marijuana causes chronic bronchitis and marijuana smoke has been shown to injure the cell linings of the large airways, which could explain why smoking marijuana leads to symptoms such as chronic cough, phlegm production, wheeze and acute bronchitis.4,9
Smoking marijuana has also been linked to cases of air pockets in between both lungs and between the lungs and the chest wall, as well as large air bubbles in the lungs among young to middle-aged adults, mostly heavy smokers of marijuana. However, it's not possible to establish whether these occur more frequently among marijuana smokers than the general population.4
Smoking marijuana can harm more than just the lungs and respiratory system - it can also affect the immune system and the body's ability to fight disease, especially for those whose immune systems are already weakened from immunosuppressive drugs or diseases, such as HIV infection.4,9
Smoking marijuana hurts the lungs' first line of defense against infection by killing cells that help remove dust and germs as well as causing more mucus to be formed. In addition, it also suppresses the immune system. These effects could lead to an increased risk of lower respiratory tract infections among marijuana smokers, although there is no clear evidence of such actual infections being more common among marijuana smokers.4,9 However, frequent marijuana-only smokers have more healthcare visits for respiratory conditions compared to nonsmokers.10
Studies have shown that smoking marijuana may increase the risk of opportunistic infections among those who are HIV positive, although it does not seem to effect the development of AIDS or lower white cell counts.4,9
Another potential threat to those with weakened immune systems is Aspergillus, a mold that can cause lung disorders. It can grow on marijuana, which if then smoked exposes the lungs to this fungus.4 However, it rarely causes problems in people with healthy immune systems.
Weed smoker here.
Have to be pretty dumb to think smoking weed helped asthma in any way.
No one is arguing that cigarettes are better for you than weed. You kind of started an argument with yourself
People in Colorado already were/are lazy imo and weed has nothing to do with it.I love how all the conservative people were like "it's going to cause lazy people in Colorado and increase violence and crime and blah blah blah.....wrong! Increase in employment, decreased crime, huge economic gain...
People have no idea how vast of an impact legalizing marijuana would have on this country. It'd change ge everything.
No big deal, carry on or place close to ur junk, bottom of aspirin bottle worked just fine 2g or less
You're really gonna miss out on a perfect opportunity to shove something up your ***.Thanks. I m taking less than a gram. Thinking of putting it my chewing gum in my mouth and putting it side the chewing gum
[laughing]You're really gonna miss out on a perfect opportunity to shove something up your ***.
Haha
Inhaling any kind of smoke chronically will possibly lead to lung damage. Have to be an idiot to think it would *actually* help.
Have never partaken in the plant, but it seems no worse than cigs or alcohol, both which are legal. Legalizing it could really help the state of KY since I assume it grows well there and could replace tobacco crops.

It would get tax dollars for the government which is what private industry would currently consider bankrupt based on the unfunded pension liability. It would also take that profit out of criminals coffers and put it into those taxable businesses, or better yet if people were allowed to grow their own it would essentially kill organized crime in the state. Weed being illegal is barely stopping anyone from getting it, and those that can't find it are just ending up with something harder instead (like Meth). It's already the number one cash crop in Kentucky. Legalizing it would only make it less profitable for the business.

Studies in Washington and Colorado indicate that there is been a major impact on the Mexican drug cartels by decriminalizing pot in their states. There are also indications of decreased hard drug use in those states.
Nah I'm not, I know that most people that smoke are normal human beings.
The riffraff is real though... maybe they just congregate to those areas and you have riffraff tourism or everywhere else they stay at home or whatever, but I don't want to have to deal with the subculture on a daily basis where it's like 10% of the populace. It's worse than hipsters really.
Won't make it out of committee. Never doesLook at SB13, introduced by council member Perry Clark to the state legislature, also called The Cannis Freedom Act of Kentucky.
It's basically calling for legalization of marijuana, medicinal and personal. Must be over 21 to buy, it's a pretty long read, but google it. It was introduced on 01/07, still hasn't been shot down almost 2 weeks later.
BTW, @MegaBlue, one of the biggest supporters of this bill are Matt Bevin, our Rep Gov, and Rand Paul, Rep Senator and presidential candidate.
