Yeah CB is kind of a mystery team to me, because they haven't played in nearly 2 years. They're normally a scrappy bunch, but they only return 3 starters from 2 years ago and didn't get a scrimmage in.

Essex up 20 - 16 almost halftime . This score is very misleading . Sussex is physically punishing Essex moving up and down the field , Essex has scored on 3 busted plays with 0 sustained drives . Stay tuned !

Were you even at the game?! Both teams played physical. “Essex has scored on 3 busted plays with 0 sustained drives.” Essex got the opening kickoff. Their very 1st TD only took 3 plays that ended with a 40 yard TD run by Dorian Harris. The 2nd TD was a 52 yard kickoff return by Kam Robinson. After a couple big runs and turnovers by both teams, Essex recovers a fumble on Sussex 22. Couple plays later, Tre’Vaughan Ball scores for Essex. Both teams were rusty and had multiple turnovers. Essex’s D was getting penetration a good portion of the game and multiple times had Sussex runners stopped for a loss but poor tackling allowed Sussex runners to break free for gains. As with all teams, both have some things to work on.

I was there I saw Essex getting pushed around especially in the 1st half . Essex is extremely finesse ( no disrespect) . To prove I was there : You guys kept flashing the field lights lol

You could of heard about the flashing lights. That does not prove you were there. Lol. I didn’t see all this pushing around you’re claiming. In the 1st half Sussex found something that worked for them to make plays but Essex made adjustments at the half and took care of it. It was game one and both have things to clean up but in no way was Essex pushed around.

Essex was dominated up front I know football and I know what I saw , trust me the season will tell it all . Label your door leading to the restroom it’s gray with no identification. Next to your concession stand.

Ok dominated. Lol. As for the bathroom….That’s not my job but I’ll be sure to pass your message on to one of the coaches. They just moved the concession stand to that building. Previous years, that restroom was for whoever need to use it being that it was in the field house. They are slowly getting things upgraded around the field. A 3 phase project is taking place to do seating, the track, restroom and other things. As you saw, the lighting has been up graded. All in due time.

Dominated, finesse? Weird ways to describe a team that ran the ball nearly every play and Sussex had little to no answer for it. I'd also like to see how many yards they gave up in the second half, because it wasn't many. Not saying there wasn't some sloppy play, but as the season progresses, I'm sure both teams will get better. Always a much anticipated opener, and it didn't disappoint. Best of luck in region B. I know the Trojans will be rooting for you guys to knock off the red machine.

Umm, the halftime score was 26-16 and while Sussex did pull off some big plays up the middle in the first half most of their damage occurred at the edges. Essex, which did a poor job of tackling in the first half, did an outstanding job of cleaning things up in the second half as Sussex's line began to struggle with the heat and humidity. Sussex got most of its 2nd half yardage on its final series against primarily Essex reserves.

I’m not making light of the facilities , just that I almost wet my pants looking for the restroom, the facilities are definitely nice. But Essex was not physical and yes in my opinion they were pushed around in the first half, anyway good luck and blessings to Essex
