@EPJr1947, who are you picking to win this one? Crazy matchup and playoff implications. The skill positions are equitable, but the size of Manchester may give them the edge. Also QB Scott has played well since the season opening loss, but he hasn't faced a defense remotely close to Manchester since.

when evenly matched I am going with the home team Falcons.

I agree with @EPJr1947 I think Huguenot wins this especially at home. Huguenot has something to prove and they wanna take that 3rd seed possibly in the 4B. They want to make a statement before going into the playoffs.

I have watched all the Northwestern District teams out of Frederick County and have come to this conclusion. All of them are just ok. They all have weakness in certain areas. Handley deserves to be called the best out of the bunch, especially playing with a 3rd string QB. Not sure what JF or GW has completely this year , but I anticipate one of those teams will win the region. This could be GW’s year to take the trip to Lynchburg for the beat down by either Dinwiddie or Varina or one of those teams. It’s time for these local teams to step up and be better , going the wrong direction in my opinion. Nothing special up here. Sorry if I pissed off anyone, been around a long time and seen a lot of great teams. Get off the video games and get to work boys.

Louisa beat Huguenot 61-6 3 yrs ago and now they are shutting out 9-0 Manchester what a turnaround for this team.

Meadowbrook falling out of the playoffs, all the way down to the 10th when they were the 7th at the beginning of the week. Still a good season, but sucks they went 2-4 in their last 6 after starting off 4-0

Manchester was SEVERELY overrated. That defensive scheme is terrible it put the players in a terrible disadvantage it wasn’t able to be exposed until game 10. If they don’t fix that it’s going to be an early season. Offensively….. idk this has gotta be the year for Dale to beat them it was very bad

Honestly there was questionable coaching from both teams, Huguenot for some reason deciding to not run the ball that much in the 4th even when up 21-0 & 27-0 was really strange. If Huguenot’s pass rush wasn’t as dominant as it was could’ve been a completely different game in the second half. I also felt like Manchester uptempo style wasn’t really helping either. Constantly going 3 and out or getting one first down then having to punt or go for it on 4th down near midfield and only having possession for about 1min or 1min and half on each drive really puts pressure on your defense.

Hanover gave HSHS a scare, Springers played poorly in the 4qtr. Can’t have 4TOs in the 2nd Half, 3fumbles in the 4th alone, & 5TOs overall for the game. You can tell how bad Hanover wanted this one, had some wacky play calls and some luck on some plays to keep them in the game and eventually take the lead in the 4th. I mean running a fake punt from within your own 10yrd line should tell you everything you need to know.

Another thing that caught my eye. I’m not sure if there were any injuries on herm side or not, but TeeJay shutting out Herm’s offense was a shocker. Herm scored on a kickoff return and got a safety to make the final score of 9-7.

I’m not to sure what everybody thought was going to happen with Huguenot vs Manchester, I looked at last years score and Huguenot won by a lot then I looked at the roster same people on each team. Then I looked at the schedule Manchester hasn’t had a challenge this year yet, I know the coaching a little different but everybody hyped Manchester up a little to much. What did you expect to be different after last year and they have the exact same teams coaching is important but it don’t mean nothing if you can’t execute on the field. Again I know we give Huguenot a hard time but they did all of that without their LB and Running Back commit to Michigan Markel Dabney .

Thomas Dale and Hopewell last night. Hopewell went toe to toe with Dale. Dale only scored one TD on offense the rest come from 2 pick for td and kick off returns and punt returns. Hopewell run the ball well and the Gammer kid for Hopewell is a beast only a sophomore. But in the end the turnovers were to much for Hopewell to over come. Good luck in the playoffs to both teams Hopewell I believe will play New Kent and Dale has a bye. Note Hopewell is playing much better than earlier in the year the QB has settled in and they're healthy. They could win 2 or 3 games in the playoffs. Time will tell.

If you didn't hear about the GW/Magna Vista game this past Friday you should try to find a reply if one is available. Including last year's game in Ridgeway these two Piedmont District rivals have now played back to back classics with GW coming out victorious both times. Friday's double overtime win by the Eagles was a heart stopper. All the best to both these squads as they enter the playoffs in their respective divisions.
