This week will be a little different with 17 games, 3 of which will be GOW, worth 2 points instead of 1. It will be a chance to make up or lose points. We have 17 regular "pickers" but only room for 16. Ties will be broken based on Week 11, 10, 9 Results whatever it takes to break the tie. 1st Rd matchups will be 1/16, 2/15, 3/14, 4/13, 5/12, 6/11, 7/10, & 8/9, No byes here. Good Luck!

I tell you Hammy, after that beat down Courtland gave JM last week, you could be right on with the KG pick. Honestly, the way they performed against us, I didn't think they would lose another game. Now I have to wonder if the haven't come off the rails.

Possibly. But not that much better, I don't think. I'm not really surprised that Courtland won, but the way they dominated makes me wonder if JM doesn't have internal issues going on, or something like that.

JM has no internal issues. They are very, very good. Don't be surprised to see them in the 3A final......again. They will not beat KG this Friday. They will destroy them.

Courtland simply came off an embarrassing performance the previous week and played as they were capable from from the first touch of the ball. Something they have not done all year. Few teams in all of VA would have beaten them last Friday. But you cannot win a Championship running on cruise control all year. What happened at KG was good for them. What happened at Maury was a coming out party. But that was last week. My fear is that Caroline will be such a non-issue, the Cougar's will become complacent again entering the playoffs and there are no easy outs in 4A East. I never mind if the boys get beat by a better team. That's the game. But another KG type loss will be disappointing.

"IF" kg puts its best players on the field in all 3 aspects of the game Offense, Defense and Special Teams they will win tonight. "Team" comes first over any individual player, that's the bottom line. It's high school football.

Courtland is a very good team no doubt! Really good, but KG's defense played smart and contained the 3 headed monster good enough to win. Don't tell me that Courtland didn't take the game serious after going into half time down 19 - 0. KG should have scored two more times in that game but a bogus penalty and a fumble stopped those two drives. KG was also driving against Chancellor to take the lead late in the 3rd and fumbled deep in Chancellor territory. KG's offense can score as they have against every opponent this year. The defense getting off the field on 3 and 4 downs and not giving up big plays is key.

3 TD's. They'll start out fast and roll. Of course, as we all know, anything is possible on Friday night.
