Alot of games cancelled for this week. Almost half of region c were cancelled. From what I hear here in Pittsylvania County be lucky if all four high schools even finish their seasons. Going probably be some teams only play 5-6 ball games this season.

Am hearing some school board members are pushing to shut schools down again. My daughter says Chatham has outbreak and is going to just online but that is what my high school daughter said they were saying in school about game being cancelled. I haven't heard nothing official. This is getting so disappointing.

Riverheads hadn't played Tazewell at the time so had them at 4-0. Did this before I seen their score from yesterday. You would be correct now.

If Chatham goes virtual only, that will shut their football down correct?

Ahh, that makes sense. It came up as new. Did you ever find anything concrete with BG? As I switched mine as did you, but I am still seeing 4-1 elsewhere

What I heard was that one kid or coach tested positive so the whole team had to quarantine. Nothing about an outbreak at Chatham. There's been very little public news. Everything I've heard is from parents of students/players. I haven't heard that it's really that bad at Chatham. Just that one person caused the team to quarantine. They would stop athletics before they closed the school. I haven't heard anything about that happening.

Gap is 3-1. Won against James River, East Rock, and big bad Bath. Lost to Luray. JV's played a game against Stonewall/Mt View

I know it's a long way off, and lot's of games still to be played, or not played. But a game scheduled for the last week of the regular season could be huge for region C in 1A and 2A. Glenvar at Giles. If both teams win out from now to then, the winner of that game could likely get the #1 seed in their region and division.

You are correct. The winner of that game will win their respected region whether it be 1C or 2C as long as they both win out. Both teams should be 8-1 when they meet up so there’s a lot of points on the table. Glenvar is 100% the favorite but hopefully Giles can find a way upset the mighty Highlanders like they have in the past. Being near 100% healthy we’re playing good ball right now. But I watched Glenvar on film and they’re good on all sides of the ball.

NC is gonna come ready to play. They’ve obviously heard of Giles and would love nothing more than to leave Pearisburg with a W. Our advantage other than home field is our offense. I doubt NC has played against it before and it’s going to be tough for them to prepare for it.

One thing that has me a little confused about North Cross. East Mont. had them scheduled, but game was cancelled a few weeks ago. East Mont. should have no problem filling their schedule with public schools. So for them to schedule a private school like NC, leads me to believe they must not view NC as a real powerful opponent. Hope this doesn't come off as a knock against NC, because I know little to nothing about them.

NC usually has a D1 player or more on their team...they legally recruit being a private school and are usually a good team at their level...but I do agree our offense should help us tremendously...could see a shootout lol

I’m struggling to find film on them for this season. I found a few highlights from the 2020 season but nothing else.
