I think Blaster is just sharing with us the Virginia Preps Top 10 and not his own opinion. Anyways I'll give my top 10 below.

1. Galax- 15 game win streak for the defending champs.

2. Riverheads- Blew out Buffalo Gap in what was expected to be a close game.

3. Sussex- Talented Tigers face 3A Park View who is also undefeated on Friday.

4. Hurley- Rebels are flying high. Interesting game this week against undefeated 2A Grundy.

5. George Wythe- Maroons got back to their winning ways against Honaker. Still one of the best in the west.

6. Parry McCluer- Blues don't seem to be getting much respect in the polls but they have mine. Their 3 headed monster at rb will be tough to handle.

7. Patrick Henry- Nice comeback win last week. In Humphries they have one of the best in the state

8. Altavista- Colonels are much improved from last year and looking to make some noise come November.

9. Northumberland- Indians shocked a lot of people by beating Trinity Episcopal. Next up is Essex this Friday in the biggest game in years at Northumberland.

10. Lunenburg- Blew out rival Nottoway last week. Their game with Goochland down the road will be interesting

Riverheads should be about # 7 or #8 , they have not played a worthy contender yet !

Really , Riverheads is not that good ! The teams they have played are not very good . What does that say about the teams that lost to them, well , they don't have a clue . Most of the SWVA teams are better than Riverheads at this point of the season . I looked at Galax and plan a trip to Fort on Saturday . I am not saying they won't get better but for now they are middle of the road !

And to follow up on what Xcross said, I had them at 8-2/7-3 this year. Only time will tell but they do have some improvements to make or it will be a short post season. Last Saturday was an anomaly in ways because we played better than previous games and Gap basically didn't show up.

Maybe the teams they have played are no good but one thing for sure is they crushed them,and they will be around when the time comes.
