Petersburg beats hopewell 20-12 in class 3a. Hopewell couldn't score at the 1 yards line and miss a 20 yard field goal. And had a TD called back. GOOD win for the burg.

They are district opponents. Honestly, I don't like how the Capital District picks and chooses who they play. Unfortunately, it's allowed and Varina and Highland Springs don't really play a district schedule while other districts forbid this type of scheduling. It creates a huge advantage as they are not locked in and forced to play lower class teams. The member schools just need to eliminate the mandatory district schedule for football period.
if a district is a multi-class district there is no upside to a C5 playing a lower class school in football. this particularly true if the games are always one sided.
