They looked good for one series. I guess it’s too much to ask our coach to prepare the players or have a game plan for the entire game.

That's pretty much our M.O. isn't it, we must just run the same first series over and over at practice every week and then the rest of the game is just 💩 potpourri of decision making

Good lord man, don’t you know Lebby is a 2nd year coach. Got to give him time to grow into the job. In another 2-3 years, he should be good for a whole 1st quarter. **
Lol I see what you did there, so true!

I mean … did you guys really expect that game to play out differently? On a good note, KT got to play multiple series and get experience against a top 5 team. So as Shi!!y as it was, there was that side-note. Injuries may be a factor now sadly.

And I thought for the most part KT looked pretty good. So that’s the one positive from the game.

Last year we did have a bigger talent gap than this season. And the fact is the team as a whole has made great strides. The 3 games we were in but lost is due to Lebby. His coaching got us there and deserves the credit for the improvement. But at the same time, his coaching decisions directly helped turn those games into L's and he deserves the blame for that.

Year over year, the team has improved. Year over year, who knows if the coaching did because we weren't in close enough games to know. Next year should tell the tale. Will in game decisions get better (will he get help), can he get another jump in able players, and does the team take another step forward? If he can't do this in year 3, then he needs to go.

News flash, 10 games in and we're in the range of the 35th to 45th best team in FBS. We were much worse than that last year.

Hence, we look like **** for most of the game when we play teams in the Top 6 or 8 (TAMU, UGA).

We are competitive, but ultimately don't have quite enough (except when we do ASU) when we play teams that are clearly better than us (Top 25 or 30 or better, I'm talking about you UTn and UTx)

We are competitive and win or lose probably about evenly when we play teams with similar qualities (UF and Ark), although it's tough on the road.

And finally, we win easily when we play teams we're clearly better than (they rank well below the Top 50 on FBS, in other words USM, NIU, any SWAC).

It's not a difficult analysis no matter how much some here love to rehash it.

We're clearly improved. He'll be our coach next year and should be. Hopefully well get better, but that'll be a discussion for much later. Or should be, but I digress

Lebby has improved us a lot but guess what, we still the worst team in the SEC other than Arkansas and he's recruiting so poorly that's not going to change, I hope we don't extend him for winning 5 games and finishing next to last in the SEC. But we don't care about football so we will, and everyone will be sick of him after next season because it's going to suck too

And thankfully that's not your decision to make, because you've got no feasible plan to improve us beyond "fire him".

Operative word being feasible.

Not my job! But this is a board of opinions so my opinion is we'll suck again next season and everybody will be ready to fire Jeff Lebby
