If you're like me and losing your mind in isolation, what are some of your weirdest examples of "Yep I'm Losing My Mind"?

Weirdest: this morning I found myself watching Tom & Jerry cartoons on Amazon Video. Now there's a contact sport. I wish they had Roadrunner.

Kind of weird: just decided what I'm eating of my dietary foods for the next few days based on what's approaching it's expiration dates.

Normal (sort of): been watching several sports videos on YouTube. Watched Stephen Curry in March Madness playing for Providence. Watched several videos on Pistol Pete Maravich.

I have taken off an address plaque from my mailbox and refinished it.

I have taken 3 of 4 outside lights off the house to refinish.

I've spent a couple of hours helping my son construct a wooden match crossbow.

Lastly, both cars were hand washed and one already hand waxed.

All of this instead of baseball and water polo......bummer.

Fixed my wife’s car. Needed a new vacuum pump. Not an easy job but gave me something to do and it’s now fixed and no more oil leaks.

Watched the Lakers and Kobe win the 2010 championship against the Celtics.

Kevin: Well at least you aren't the only one watching cartoons. I am so sick of the doom and gloom news and I watch very little of it. This coverage is everywhere! Last week while surfing I saw the Flintstones on METV from 5:00 in the evening till 6:00. Far better viewing. I am already getting tired of the past game reruns in football, baseball and hockey.

Yesterday was the first day I sat outside and read the Sunday Tribune. Our local Herald News had stopped publishing a Saturday paper. Starting this past weekend, they now publish a weekend paper on Saturday and none on Sunday. The Saturday paper has all the ads, etc.

I will be doing a big project and a remodel in the downstairs family room. I have 1200 square feet to remodel. The only things I am not doing are a huge plumbing project which includes the relocation of the water heater, the water softener, the washer and dryer and a complete full bathroom and the replacement of all pipes that need replacing. The floor will have to be busted up for drain pipes. We will also be adding electrical outlets and canned lighting. Other than those two, I will be dry walling the perimeter and putting in storage shelves. Then there is the ceiling and flooring. We are also putting a full kitchen in. Most of the area will be open.

We actually had plans to do all this before this crap happened and put the project behind. The plumbing has to go first and we have to wait to get him in here to work. We were within a week from starting when the brakes were put on it. I wish the plumbing had gotten done at least. Then I could get some things done.

1. Don’t do meth
2. If you ignore #1, don’t do it in Oklahoma.
3. I don’t care how cold Ames is, find some place nearby to do yoga.
4. Don’t let your daughters get involved with cats. Yes, she might die alone, but that would be the preferred outcome of her enthusiasm
   
5. Don’t trust anyone who wears Affliction shirts.
   
6. Don’t eat pizza at a zoo.
   
7. Don’t pick up 19-year-old crying women in Florida.
   
8. Keep hands, arms, selves out of tiger cages.
   
9. If you must enter said cage, rinse off your shoes beforehand.
   
10. If your boss has a mullet, go back to school.

yes indeed - I saw a few innings of some classic old school baseball - games seemed to move along much faster back then ( I know there was some editing involved on the re-broadcast of course) - but pitchers like Denny McClain and Bob Gibson would work quickly - and umps wouldn't put new balls in play every time it hit the dirt.

You just went to the heart of the problem and the reason I made a post to stay off the board for a while. But, it doesn't matter where you go, there is no escape. I think that's a major reason people are so frustrated with this wall-to-wall 24/7 coverage. Even if you do go to another channel like MLB, NFL or NHL channels it will appear there too. You watch an old TV show on various channels and sooner or later the obligatory "public service announcement" comes on reminding people to wash their hands. I always wondered who these people are who need to be reminded to wash their hands. Aren't they adults?

We do need to be informed and receive updates. What we don't need is some clown in the media giving his or her uneducated opinion or making a political issue of it or relishing in the bad news. It is far overdone. But that is typical of our media. I have had people tell me, get used to it. But you can't. Just when you think these people can't get more obnoxious, they do. That's where the real problem is.

I couldn't agree more! But, now that you went there I have to tell you the most disgusting story ever regarding the men's room.

Years ago during the summer before I started college, I worked in a machine shop. My job was mainly delivery, but I usually spent an hour or two in the shop. On my second or third day I went into the men's room to take a leak. When I walked in, someone was in the stall taking a dump. So, right away my goal was to get done and get the hell out of there ASAP.

While I was going I heard a bag rustling and a crunching sound as if the guy was eating while on the toilet. When I got out and back into the shop I told a buddy about it. He said, "oh yeah, that is so and so. He eats on the sh*tter every day...doesn't wash his hands when he leaves."

Obviously, I couldn't make that up. But, to your point. Those idiots are the reason for the public service announcement about washing your hands. But you can't tell those kind of people to wash their hands if they never do anyway.

Over the years I have told my wife how disgusting some guys are in the public washroom. She said; "you would be surprised at how many women don't wash their hands either." Disgusting

The thing is you never know who did and didn’t so best to keep your hands to yourself! Someone brought up woman not washing either and my wife told me a long time ago you would be surprised how dirty/nasty some woman are with their hygiene. I will spare you the stories she told me as it would gross you out.
