Stute, Uguasuk, and Butler back, possibly, Ellis and some other freshmen, plus 4 portal players who all seem to be good. Got to assume CMB is going to the draft, but he really needs a year to improve his jump shot. Kitts needs to convince her BF to stay another year. Either way, sounds promising, can’t be as bad as this year was.

Why would coming back to SC help CMB’s jumpshot over being a lottery pick, having no classes, making good money, and him being able to focus all of his time on improving his jump shot with NBA coaches full time?
It’s not like his stock is low or can get any higher. He’s projected as a lottery pick. That’s as high as he’s going to get. If he wants to come back, fine. But if it’s to improve his jump shot he’d be a fool.

We will be picked to finish last next year but hopefully 6 or 7 conference wins will propell us in the right direction.

That’s unacceptable. A 6-year rebuild with the transfer portal is inexcusable. We either have a severe NIL problem or a terrible coaching staff.

Oh no. If you watch the NBA now, lottery picks go to the G-League all the time. Reed Shepherd was the 3rd pick this year and has barely gotten into a real NBA game. Most of his real court time has been in the G League. Basketball drafts are sort of like Baseball now. Based strictly on potential.

I get we are in a new age where kids get in the Transfer Portal, but this is becoming concerning. You are coaching a team and nobody wants to stay and ride it out with you? Stute is the only one left depending on what happens with CMB.
Federiko with him. Leaves only 2 remaining players from last years team, Butler and Stute. I operate with the assumption CMB is gone.
Still need to nab an experienced PG from the portal. Can't rely on Ellis to shoulder that load as a freshman.
I’d say most of this is mutual at worst. Portal gives guys chances to transfer all the time. Also gives coaches chance to completely overhaul roster.

Yes, he’s a lottery pick but he really needs to improve his shooting to be an nba player. I hope he stays, but if he feels it’s the right time to jump, then good for him
If he’s a first round pick he needs to go but to me he’s a mid 3rd round selection at best. I wouldn’t spend 1st round money on a player that can’t hit the mid-range and beyond on a consistent basis.

The deadline to declare is April 26. CMB will probably declare between now and then and not hire an agent in the event that the combine and individual workouts don't go well so he can come back. Any player that declares and decides to go back to school must make that declaration by June 15.

How will we be improved at center? We landed a guy that turns the ball over at a higher clip than BBV and averages less than Pringle in scoring and rebounding.
Essandoko is more skilled than Pringle. Better shooter, better passer, better hands, etc..
He’s a turnover machine and would have had the highest TO% on our roster last season.
better shooter based on what? Pringle has had a higher 2pt% field goal every season than Essandoko. You wanna throw in 3 point shooting? Pringle didn’t take those and Essandoko did and missed them shooting 21% from 3.
better passer? They were basically identical statistically in that category.
Not to mention he’s got work ethic issues apparently.
Essandoko isn’t a pick up that should be celebrated as some massive upgrade. If anything, we’re taking a much larger step back in the post.
I disagree with you. Having watched both play I would much prefer Essandoko. Pringle cannot score outside of five feet.
I don’t know what you watched to be able to spin a guy that was goofier than BBV into an upgrade over Pringle, but the stats don’t lie.
