And well deserved. Winston went on the road and throttled a top 5 team. Mariota hasn't even got on the scoreboard.

Just a couple of weeks ago the guys on ESPN radio were saying Mariota was better than Manziel. He has been running scared tonight and looks almost panicked. Not heisman worthy for sure.

Agreed. I might not like the guy but it is silly to give it to anyone else for reasons not related to his play on the field. Although obviously Winston is a very good player as well.

If FSU goes undefeated, it'll be Jameis'. They'll knock JFF for the A&M losses.

C'mon. I don't like either... but Winston is having a better year than both JFF and Newton's year. Don't just pull for the guy because he's in the SEC. Before tonight I would have given it to Mariota because up to that point he was better than both, but Winston was #2. Now he's #1. Really though, the only reason we're automatically putting JFF in the top 3 is because he's already won it... the Tebow effect. The QB and RB at Baylor should also be in the discussion.

Winston is good but FSU has a defense and an easy schedule. JFF doesn't have a defense plays a tough SEC schedule and he has to win the game by out scoreing the opponent. I have no idea how Winston would play against a tough defense like AL. JFF is douche bag but he is plays the **** out of some football.

4 INTs in the 2 losses put him squarely behind Winston
And all the "what ifs" don't matter.. the award is for the most outstanding player and Winston has been that so far

All your points just aren't reality. You do realize that JFF has one of the best OL in CFB? Scouts place LT Matthews at #1 and his right tackle junior Cedric Ogbuehi at #2-3 (both 1st rounders). Ogbuehi has been out the past two weeks but will be back this week.

JFF also has Evans. I still fail to see what a defense has to do with offensive performances.

Oh and easy schedule. TAMU's schedule has been a cakewalk, designed to help them win the West.
@#3 Clemson W 51-14
@#7 Miami W 41-14

A good defense affects offensive performance by forcing the other team to go three and out and giving your offense more possessions and better field position. And once their team realizes they can't outscore you because of your great defense their whole team becomes demoralized. Also, there is no way in hell Miami was a legit 7 and Clemson was a legit 3. The rest of their ACC schedule is pathetic as will be the always pathetic and hardly watched ACC championship game. Through the BC score up there too. JFF is college football's best player, and he will be looking to really establish that tomorrow. Good luck.

Winston is having a better year than ... Newton's year.

*blank stare*

I've got no problem with Winston, and if FSU wins out I guess I've got no big problem with him winning the Heisman. But Manziel is the better player.
