I have only met Mullen twice and talked to him once so I really don't know him but I have to think if he had any idea at all if he was going to leave Miss State this year, we would know about. He is here for at lest one more in my opinion. I just don't think he would leave Miss State hanging. I could be wrong but I think if he was going to leave it would already be a done deal.

I think he's here for a lot more than that. He hasn't accomplished his stated goals of championships (including national) yet, and once he does he won't want to leave then ... we'll be one of the prestigious jobs at that point.Big D said:

3 of those SECW teams you speak of, that he has not beat, are the last 3 National Champs. One is about to repeat. The other two are also nationly ranked, atone time they were ranked 1,2, and 3 in the nation. For your information, there have been very few teams beat these teams from SECW.

We should have beaten Auburn this year, Cam Newton was a one-year wonder for the plains... Arky has been good, and there is no way I thought we should have won in Little Rock this year. Do I expect us to beat Bama and LSU, Hell no.. But beating Auburn next year in S-Vegas will be a good start..

Why do you folks let the facts get in the way of a good, dubmass, SPS poster's, rant? Top three be damned...I, for one, am shocked we didn't run the table in the SEC West this year.
If Penn State offers then he would be a fool not to take it....If you all were coaches away from home and a big program offered you a job close to your home, with alot more money, there wouldn't be anyone on here that would turn that down.......I am hoping for Hud myself because he is a local guy and because of that, would be harder to pull away if he had success.
If you go through the losses of Bama, LSU, Auburn, and Arkansas over the last 2 seasons, the worst loss of the 16 losses among them was Alabama's loss to SCarolina in 2010. SCarolina finished the season 22 in the BCS. If you take those 16 losses, the average season-end BCS ranking for those teams was 6.5. 6 point 17ing 5.

not everybody is a home body and there are a lot of coaches who prefer their current locations over areas back in their home areas. Not saying that Mullen is that way with MSU, but it's not guaranteed that he wants to do everything he can to get back to Pennsylvania. If that were the case for all of the coaches then Les Miles, although he graduated from Michigan and is from Ohio, should have taken the Michigan job when they offered but he didn't. He decided to stay with those bat **** crazy LSU fans.
If the Penn State of one year ago offered then maybe you would be a fool not to take it (I'm not even sure about that, stock in the Big 10 has dropped significantly). But this Penn State job is going to be difficult. The criminal proceedings have not even started yet other than the Grand Jury. That is going to be a long, drawn-out process with Penn State and child rape being in the news every night. Then you have had the first of what will be dozens of civil suits filed, again keeping the school and it's child-rape permissible culture in the headlines. You also have a pending NCAA investigation with a very unsure outcome. You have no athletic director. You have no school president. And this is not to mention that you would be following an icon and the most beloved coach in school history. None of this is a recipe for great success.Wizard said:

Actually, you said that 10-30 in the SEC "should get anybody fired" when discussingCroom. In two of Mullen's three years, he is on pace for exactly 10-30 (2-6 in two of his 3 years). Croom's final two years at MSU his record was 6-10. Mullen's first 3 years at MSU, he is 8-16 in the SEC.Will yoube consistent and say that if we have two more years of 2-6 SEC records by Mullen, Mullen should be fired?
