it wouldn't matter anyways, we all need to remember "offense is not this team's identity."

If beating the #1 RPI team at their place only raised it 3 spots, I can't imagine what losing to UCA, at home, will plummet it to. I am starting to wonder where we need to keep it to even make the NCAA's. I don't believe 1 against UK will do it, unless we win at least 1 in Hoover, and maybe 2.

No 14-win SEC team has been left out of regionals in a long time, especially when they made the SEC tourney. We made regionals in the past 10 years at 13-17, 12-17, 13-16. So, there is actually a pretty long history of 13 win teams getting in(LSU last year notwithstanding).

It'll take a monumental collapse for us to miss regionals(as in, swept by UK, 2 and out in SEC tourney)...

All we have to do is beat UK once, and we're 100% safe.

and I haven't looked at the stats, but from twitter and this board you would think we struck out 10 times and only managed to get 2-5 runners onbase

from looking around the SEC, with the SECT looming ...it seems as though you could argue lastnight as a trap game and the teams/hitters were not focused or locked in.

They just didn't walk anyone... which further exposed us offensively. We also hammered a bunch of balls into the air last night right at outfielders. Probably 5-7 outs right there that could've been doubles...

We have GOT to find a way to get Frasier and Renfroe hitting back-to-back in the lineup. They are carrying us offensively right now, and would allow us to manufacture a few runs almost every game just through the two. I don't care how "non-traditional" that lineup would be. It's all we have working right now...

I was there and there were almost no well-hit balls all night. Balls in the air have to be hit a lot better than that to be doubles. Almost all of those were routine outs.

Agree about Frasier and Renfroe. Doesn't do much good to have one get a hit one inning and then the other to get a hit the next.

there was no difference in losing that game last night versus losing a game to Florida at home.

the only RPI difference there is simply playing them.
