finish 13th out of 78 folks at 17 ft 4 inches......won 4 dozen Srixon Z-Stars....pretty decent ball......the closest was 2 ft 4 inches that won a set of ping irons......no-one got a hole in one.....not a bad deal for a total of 32 bucks entry into the contest the wife and I won 6 dozen Srixon Q stars plus the 4 dozen I got yesterday.......every Thursday you kick 2 bucks in the kitty and whoever gets closest to the pin on the par threes get a dozen balls and entry into the "Shootout" for 10 grand.......123 folks qualified and 78 showed up to compete.....the golf course made several thousand dollars this summer with that format....pretty cool

148 yards...wind dead in your face...had to hit off a mat......the best part of the day for me was when two brothers of about 60 yrs old both missed the green. Their 92 yr old dad was there watching and yelled ," hell I can do better than that!"...so the pro gives him a three wood and he knocks it to about 25 ft....freaking crowd went nuts....getting ready for the pro/super tournament at Hermitage in Richmond....check it out....it's the bent grass course...they have a Bermuda one too
