"We'll know about the Broncos midway through the next five games..."

I think there were more than a few "experts" who said that prior to the Cowboys game.

Now, we are 3-0 with 2 games left in that tough stand.

No longer can this team be considered a fluke or "lucky."

This is a Super Bowl contender in the AFC.

6-0 baby!

striped pants with the white jersey and socks. I'm pretty sure they had white striped pants with those uniforms. The yellow ones were brutal but the all white ones didn't look too bad.

I'm a sucker for teams wearing alternate jersey's. I always enjoy seeing us take the field in the all orange alternates. I even like the all orange "bucking Bronco" uniforms they were during most of the 60's. But nothing will ever beat the "D" logo and orange jersey. Nothing.

...the Orange Crush unis from the mid-70s Craig Morton years thru the Elway years. Those are the throwback unis that everyone can identify with. I'm not a fan of the current crap they're wearing. But I could give a **** what they wear...as long as they keep winning.

I remember how much people hated the "swoosh" uniforms when they debuted back in the late 90's.

Every Bronco fan was concerned with the uniform change at the start of the year...by the end of the second year in these uniforms...

Cutler has great talent but he does some incredibly stupid **** with the ball. He can singlehandedly win you a game but he can also singlehandedly lose you one. Orton is underrated and he takes care of the ball.

Why can't ppl see that it is the system? Not on the QB's talents. You just need a guy willing to play for the team and not himself.
Notsaying Cutler is not a team player, just saying that system fits every level headed QB

Matt Cassel even looked like an NFL QB in this system.
Being a dink and dunk passer doesn't make you an underrated QB

That system would make JaMarcus look like a QB instead of a TE running the WildRAider

He does not turn the ball over. He has 1 int and that was at the end of the half vs New England. Randy Moss got the int if that tells you anything. Cutler has talent no doubt but he made many mistakes and seemed to have a childish attitude.

Kyle Orton has a 100.1 QB rating. Cutler has an 86.9. Last year, playing in the system Orton is playing in this year, Cutler had an 86.0 rating. Not saying Orton is a good QB by any means, but Cutler is one of the most overrated QBs in the league.

I wasn't comparing Orton to Cutler, but if I did I would take Cutler hands down...

Orton last year
2008 Chicago Bears 15 15 272 465 58.5 2,972 6.4 18td 12int

Cutler thru 5
2009 Chicago Bears 5 5 110 172 64.0 1,201 7.0 10td 7int

I don't think he is overrated and, had he stayed in Denver, I think he would have eventually done big things. However, in Chicago, he'll do nothing.

Orton is not as good of a QB as Cutler. However, he is 6-0 and has played nearly perfect football. He doesn't make bad decisions and his team clearly believes in him.

I tell you right now, with Cutler, this team already has 2 losses. He would have tried to do something that cost his team or thrown a ball he had no business throwing.

Elway wasn't a "system" QB and was an NFL star.
Griese...ugh.
Plummer wasn't a system QB and had a high profile and was a "face" known to the NFL fans.
Cutler, big potential, non-system QB, and a well known player with a rising profile.

Orton...you couldn't pick him out of a profile if he was in his jersey. He isn't a star. Isn't going to be. Isn't going to be the "face" of the team or anything like that. He'll quietly do his job and is doing that now!

the defenses on his seasons with the Broncos weren't anywhere near as stout as this one. Of course, the defenses on Plummer's squads weren't exactly world-beaters either.

wanna guess how many he actually threw over twenty yards.

Compared
Romo 96 Comp 18 over 20+
Brees 110 Comp 20 over 20+
Manning 101 Comp 22 over 20+
Orton 124 Comp 16 over 20+
Brady 156 Comp 17 over 20+

I think Brady and Orton dink and dunk

So you proved Orton isn't as good as Brady, Manning, and Brees. Congratulations.

And yes Romo is on there. Romo when playing a bad team is as good as anyone.

Brady dinks and dunks? What the $$*$ are you talking about?

Cutler is one of the most overrated QBs in the league.
I agree with this, but I was absolutely roasted on here for saying it when the whole "Cutler being a cry-baby" thing went down this off-season. I was even told he was a top ten NFL QB at the time. I might agree that Cutler is a top ten QB in terms of pure talent, but to date he has proven nothing. He has never had a winning season in college or the pros. That speaks volumes to me. I know he has been on bad teams, but I think you should at least have a winning season before you are mentioned with the best QB's of the league.
