I thought Ole Miss played very well against Alabama last night. They played with tremendous effort. Take away the interceptions, and it's a different game. I think they will continue to play well for a while because they're hungry and they believe. However, let's don't assume that you can take 4 games and project the career that Hugh Freeze will have at Ole Miss. Most new coaches get the benefit of the doubt with players and fans. Let's see how well they play after they get a steady dose of adversity in SEC play. That's when the character of the team will be tested. Once the swagger gets knocked off, will these guys have what it takes to come back and play hard every week?

Remember, this time last year everyone was talking about Vanderbilt's new coach the way they're talking about Hugh Freeze right now. You're seeing how that's working out for them. I think late this year or next year we will really learn what kind of coach we're dealing with at Ole Miss.

They have some speed, but they had that last year too.....

I still say Randall Mackey is the best player on their team. Well, Moncrief is the actual best, but Mackey should be in a position to touch the ball more.

Unfortunately, they lose him next year. They lose quite a few solid seniors. Epperson, Mackey, Allen, Hawkins, Grant, Pena, Pendleton, Mosely and various others from the 2 deep. Their defense will likely get worse.
