If he doesn't clean house and get a real offensive coordinator this year, it should be a fireable offense. He's in the deep end when he should be with floaties in the baby pool. The man is being out coached outside of the first series every game.
He’s the reason the game was closer than I expected. At a minimum, his legs extended drives and gave the porous D a break that they have not been getting the last few games.
Couldn't agree more, I believe they only sacked him once. If Shapen was in we don't get out of that game with more than 10 points and less than 8 sacks IMHO!
He needs the same guy that helped Dak progress into a passer and made Relf look amazing.
Pressure and Shapen stepping on his junk the last few weeks. He might have been told Taylor walks to lsu or Florida if he doesn't start
I wrote that on a post a few weeks back where I said there was no reason to play Shapen any longer. A bunch of people on this board responded that he would leave if he was the starter and got beat up behind this OL? I said it was more likely he leaves if he thinks he should start and he was still on the bench. PLAYERS WANT TO PLAY.
Problem is if you’re a good assistant coach are you going to want to join up with a lame duck head coach?
I think that, in this day and age, being a competent coordinator allows one to make a name for oneself regardless of the head coach. If you're a good OC for a bad HC, a decent program will come calling.

No reason why he want improve big time. The athletic ability he showed today was pretty impressive. He showed me today and im sold on him.
