Probably right, but 1 run in the 9th and Osu may use several. Unlikely though...
Who else do they have that is good? Surely they won't pitch the same guy against us as they did in the first game.
this is there problem. Pizza face is the other stud and we've seen him.

I hope they do. Freshman threw 104 pitches against us 5 days before. We should hit him
We should at least be familiar with what he is throwing. Whether or not we hit him is more a matter of how well he throws us. If his breaking ball is as bad off as it was last week, we should be ok... if he's nailing corners, we better not be making errors in the field. He's still good... and he's got reason to be motivated now.
Of course they'll pitch him again. He'll have 5 days of rest between starts. That's plenty. If they win, they'll go with Wetzler on Saturday on 4 days rest, which is the standard for professional pitchers week in and week out. With this tournament being so drawn out, it's almost impossible for a team to get in a pitching bind if they're in the 1st bracket.
If they are throwing the freshman righty, I like our chances. Even though we didn't get a ton of hits or runs the last time, we hit balls hard most at bats, but they just went right at people. Unless he's just rolling and pitching much better this time around, we should hit him. It does help that we just saw him a few days ago... Although you could argue that helps him too. Oh well, we shall see.
Odds are you will see Andrew Moore again since he is the most rested of the starters. You guys have seen him already but his breaking ball wasn't working as well as it usually does in that game. There is also Jace Fry and Max Engelbrekt

Engelbrekt is the closer who was out the first game. He is a lefty junk thrower with kind of a side arm motion. He has a 1.3 ERA and is 2 weeks rested.
Dan child is the mid week starter with a 3.29 era
There is also tony Bryant who has the best batting average against but can be wild

1) we can hit curveballs, especially recently. We also have above average plate discipline (not to mention we just haven't been striking out recently), so I think pitching Moore is advantage MSU.

Did you watch any SEC baseball? Midweek guys from the PAC-12 would pitch for Tennessee, Georgia, and Mizzouri. That's it. And if he's got a near-4 era against midweek competition out west (which has to be worse than the PAC-12, which is already not deep) then he may not even be in their rotation.

Most of his innings were on the weekends before Wetzler was back. Learn how to round. 3.29 is not near 4. Guy would likely be in the rotation for all teams except LSU, Vandy and Arkansas. Child was a weekend starter last year with a 2.95 era. He isn't this year because all 3 starters are near or below an era of 2.

SEC baseball is nothing like the level of SEC football, but you wouldn't be able to tell that by watching the last 4 playoff games for the dawgs. We've embarrassed fantastic pitchers from 2 of the top 3 conferences.
"He would start for any SEC team," is a stupid statement. You can't back that up one way or another. I'm not saying he wouldn't but we have a guy who was drafted in the 13th round who we don't think is good enough to take the mound for us. There's a standard. 3.29 in midweek is mediocre for any conference.

Who gives a **** who pitches? None of those guys will be better than Vandys LSUs Arkansas SC or Bobby Wahl! We are very much prepared for this game. Our guys aren't nervous and that is huge. We aren't overconfident but at the same time we are very confident. Pollo is clutch in big games. He will show out tomorrow night and Omaha will be flooded in MAROON come Monday!
We really need to win it Friday, don't want to let them keep their momentum going.
If we lose Friday, I think it will be tough to win on Saturday.

I would say getting 4 and 5 earned runs doesn't constitute "embarrassing" the pitching. Your info trying to show off your 13th rounder not being a starter doesn't hold weight when your starter was drafted in the 22nd. The guy got drafted in the 13th on potential. He has good stuff but no control and is a walk machine. MLB hopes they can get his control in order because he has the physical ability that few have.
