Was a great show, but I had a little fun trolling liberal and hippies last night while we tailgated. There were numerous people going around asking people to sign up to vote. Every time one would come around, someone in our group would fill out the paperwork and check the GOP box. I thought this one little girl was going to cry, she was so confused.

At least you found common ground when the music started?

You poor thing. Did you lose a bet or something? Glad you were able to eek out some fun on that miserable day.

I love the DMB and Tim. It was a great show.

BTW, Sturgill Simpson is playing Merriweather in Sept. but it's the same night as St Paul and the Broken Bones at RamsHead. Not sure which one I'm gonna go to.

A nice quandary to have. A few days ago I would have said Sturgill without hesitation, but I heard (admittedly just a rumor) that he has let his touring brass section go. They were outstanding. Hopefully it is not true, or he replaced them with a bigger, better brass section.

If true, that really sucks. That brass section was unbelievable. Saw him last Sept. Played Sailor's Guide the entire way through. Best show I've seen in a while. Sturgil and Isbel are the best things going right now in the music industry.

Looks like it is true.

Sturgill Simpson has made key changes to his band, debuting a stripped-down, lean lineup at a performance in Florida this past weekend. Simpson addressed the transformation, which bids farewell to his touring horn section and, most noticeably, longtime lead guitarist Laur Joamets, on Facebook.

I still think I'd go to Sturgill over St. Paul

How do you guys enjoy such crap? Country music sucks.
The **** playing on country radio sucks, country music does not. Luckily there is a growing number of musicians playing country music and it is easier for them to reach an audience w/o country radios help.
