Why do we always choose to tempt the Dead Indians?

edit: (translation - "Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us" - in Algonquin, but the Father (and dead Indians) will surely understand Algonquin - I know Don't call you...)

Especially with UAB and UK at home. Losing either of those games is inexcusable, although UK is usually a close game. Unfortunately, even as a fan, we are in a position where it really is one game at a time. The Houston game is so huge. The UF game, not so much. We obviously HAVE to beat Houston. Then we should go into Gainesville and I think give them a pretty tough game. Especially with them coming off of BAMA/LSU in back to back weeks.

This coaching staff has to win UH, UAB, UK. We are better than those teams. It is all on the coaches. Take care of business and we can play loose and pray for miracles over the last 3 games. I swear, if we have to go into Oxford with 5 wins, I am going to be hating life.

with a win over Florida and losses only to at worst either 1 undefeated and one 2 loss Auburn/LSU or 1 loss a piece LSU/Auburn (they play each other at the end of the month so they won't both be undefeated)

We will be a top 20 ranked team. Carolina and Florida will still be ranked and will likely have 2 losses each.

Surely we're just as good, but I honestly have no clue if we're better or not. We played Auburn close, but it was at home and Ithink Newton was still figuring things out. Memphis andAlcorn tell menothing. LSU tells me our special teams suck andif you let them starton theright side of the 50, LSU's offense is good enough to put uppoints onat least us.I thought beating UGA meant we were a notch above UK, UT, and UM, butnow I'm not sure.

I am just trying to keep my wool incheck but now it's all ingrown and more uncomfortable than ever.

Houston W 21-17
UAB W 31-10
UF L 35-7
UK W 28-24

6 wins 3 losses...........Wooohooo, we are going bowling. The fan base is beside itself.

UA L 42-0
little UA L 56-21
OM L 17-14 6 wins 6 losses......Welcome BACK to the Liberty Bowl.

ECU L 28-20

I don't trust this team. They are to prone to turnovers and don't seem to play with much confidence. The UGA win was decent but obviously UGA isn't a good team and we needed a few breaks of our own to win. As for the games where we have equal talent, we are to one deminsional on offense (not that Dan has a choice) and have no playmakers either when the game is close and we need a run, pass, catch, etc. to make a play.

With all that said though, if the above happens BUT we beat OM and ECU......that would be a good season to build on.

I think all the realist understand that our time is still a year or two away ... any bowl this year can only be considered a bonus and due to some weak teams and better coaching than we have had

If we can somehow get past Houston, then maybe I will start thinking we could be 6-3 at the end of this month. Until then, I can totally see us being 3-3 come Sunday morning.

10-3 score, Taylor Hicks singing, and "Croom" spelled out on the field by the band.

If there was ever a bowl game to be drinking in, that was the one.
