Trailer parks from Columbus, Mississippi to Columbus, Georgia will be blowing up after The Mississippi State University stomps the living **** out of the UA-Tuscaloosa Menstrual Flows. The over/under on emergency room visits by battered women who were stupid enough to say, "Earl, it's just a game", will be 869,462. It'll be a tweak-fest with Bammer fans smoking meth like Jack Cristil chain-smoking in the announcer's booth. The cost for a Truck-stop blowjob will go down to $0.50 and/or a half-smoked cigarette because of all the new meth addicts.

Menstrual Flow, YOU WILL BE OUR BITCHES!!!!!!!!!!

And that's why I'd rather be a State fan than an Alabama fan.

Suppose Mutt's exceedingly low percentage prediction actually came to pass. We'd have something to talk about for the next 30+ years (BTW, the 1980 game in Jackson was my first college game, and my friend's grampa that took us gave the warning "we might have to leave at halftime if its bad boys, I don't think I can take watching my dogs get wupped all day). Is there a memorable Alabama win in the last 5 years? I can only come up with the losses.

As Mutt notes, the best thing that can happen to an Alabama fan is the expected, and where is the fun in that? There will be no surprising wins for them, and any loss is catastrophic and will likely result in an outburst of domestic violence in trailer parks and wall-marts across the state. With a few lunatics on this board excepted, State fans don't define themselves by the performance of the football team, it is our entertainment, not the core of our identity, and that's a good thing.

I was there in '96. Stormed the field with my 9 yr old son. Helped take down the goal post. Stole a piece of Scott Field Prescription Athletic Turf to plant in my front yard. And yes, the Alabama coach resigned at the end of the season, starting the modern era of "Lose to State and SiRoNahRahBitch."

I can't think of a better going away present for Sabands as he packs for Austin.

Being at that game was one of the best experiences I ever had. Gave my cowbell to one of the linemen.

I was there that night as well. Surreal is all I can say. I've never seen Starkville like that after a game before that night or since. From the very late start (thanks in part to a skydiver crashing into the 20 yardline before the game), to the actual game itself, to Gene Stallings getting into an argument with Bama's AD in the locker room after the game. We drove through the streets of starkville until 4 am ringing cowbells. I think I still have a blister. The only time I took a break from ringing the cowbell was to go into Krystals and throw down gut bombs with my by Nakia Greer.

I miss that Krystal. And Nakia Greer. And beating Alabama. And just merely feeling like we had a chance to beat Alabama.

Strangely enough, the week prior I went with a friend to the Tennessee-Memphis game and witnessed that shocking upset. Back to back weeks of tearing down goalposts. Good times.

AMERICA'S TEAM, LIKE THE MISSISSIPPI STATE UNIVERSITY BULLDOGS, HAVE BEEN COOLING THEIR MARKS. Now both teams play for real.

I laugh like hell at that picture every time you post. If that doesn't sum up 40 something years of being an MSU fan, I don't know what else could. I nominate it for sixpack remembers even though it's only a sig pic.
