Wes Rea.......

Well now that the trigger was finally pulled with Wes this weekend, what is the plan, if any to get him back up to speed?

Is this season effectively over for him? Does he play sparingly until he works himself back into the lineup? Is he still considered the starting 1B and this was just a break?

I don't believe we will be able to do much in the post season without last year's Wes Rea in the lineup.

No his season isn't over

Baseball players get breaks all the time if they are not able to bat out of their slumps. I would imagine he will be back in the starting line up at some point this week

Wonder if detz and rea platoon now. Missouri threw righties. Wonder if rea plays and detz sits vs lefties

Detz did not exactly light it up, Rea will get a chance to win the spot back.

if we are going to be anywhere close to the team we were last year, we need wes rea, but not that shell of a man we were seeing. we needed to give him some time to get his head straight and to push the reset button mentally. he will get back in the lineup in a starting role sooner rather than later and will be given ample opportunity to get things going again. for those that said sitting rea was out of the question, cohen proved you wrong. he sat, we won. anybody not hitting worth a **** is expendable. hopefully, he turns it around and we get some of that production back but something had to be done and doing nothing was not working.
