The only thing I can say at this point is "WOW". Before the season started I would have not believed that after 4 games that my Golden Eagles would be setting at 0-4 and only 22 points scored this season. I am very hard pressed to find any possible "W's" remaining on the schedule this season. The thing that disappoints me the most is I know the kids over there at East are working very hard and I know they are better than their record shows. I am just stating my own opinion here but after going to a game or two already this season that the coaching staff is not able to generate more points on offense. By no means am I saying that the coaches are not working hard either because I know they are working just as hard to put a good product on the field. I don't know what the reason is but something just is not clicking this year for the varsity. On a more positive note the JV team is sitting at 3-1 right now. I just hope they can carry that momentum forward into next season.

Hopefully they’ll get a bit of a boost when they get their two players back who were ejected the other week.
It is going to be a long season from here on out...
East might have a shot against Lexington... and quite frankly, I wasn’t the least bit impressed with Central.
I’m really shocked at the margin of loss this week though. West is better this year, but not that much better.
Hopefully Hanner can turn it around like he did last time. Got a serious rebuilding project to do. The CCC is still not the strongest league but much better than it was during his first tenure. I know it was only one year but still the point remains.
I've been to a few games this season and it is really painful to watch. Really the main problem is the offensive scheme and game plan. They can't keep trying to do the same thing game after game that isn't working and expect better results and that falls on the head coach. You have to try something different. The QB has a good arm but is very inconsistent with his accuracy and is not running QB but they keep calling his number to let him run. When you can't consistently move the ball and your defense stays on the field too long they get worn down. I've sad this before but the offense is too simple. If you don't have any superstar athletes on your team you can't just line up in the same formation every play and run the same 4 run plays and expect to consistently move the ball. For example, West changed their offense some from last year and I think it is paying off some for them. They used to run the same 3 or 4 run plays and then maybe a pass occasionally and didn't have a lot of successs. Now, they have a couple different players they use to run in motion every play and they have a fake every play where they either fake to the motion guy and hand it to the RB or they give it to the motion guy on the end around. Or they QB keeps it or does play action and passes it. It would help East to have a mobile QB who can run pretty good and run a triple option or some type of offense that has some fakes and reverses or jet sweep or something more than a simple handoff from a one back formation. Or heck why don't they try something unconventional like Central and run a double wing, anything but the same ole single back spread and same 5 or 6 plays. It drives me crazy to see it every game I go to. When was the last time you saw East run a trick play?? Not as long as the head coach they have is there. If they go winless this season there needs to be a change.
