I would think West Iredell should be much improved from a year ago. They have a good number of players returning on Varsity. Their JV teams for the past couple of years were not that bad. They should be good in the skill postion. Right now i don't see them beating Hickory, East Lincoln or Maiden. West Iredell should be able to compete very well with the rest thats on their schedule. I will predict West Iredell could finish with 5 or 6 wins. Any other thoughts?

Bandys offense will be hard to stop...I don't see WI outscoring them. They'll have good games from Bunker Hill and the rest.
I must agreeā¦.the Warriors look really good on paper with the number of returnees that contributed last year. I see stud sized players as well. Heck of a coaching staff too as far as numbers go!
I know very little of West Iredellā¦but I canāt wait to see them play. Maiden has played them a few timesā¦.I thinkā¦but I always enjoy when the Blue Devils play someone they have never played or rarely played.

The closet to West Iredell in Statesville HWY 90 off interstate 40. Other is in Clarmount.
The Boxcar off first exit past WI toward Statesville is pretty good.
I agree with whitleyre, Boxcar grill is good. They have one in Claremont as well.
Boxcar grill is on HWY 90 in Statesville. And so is Villiage Inn Pizza. And the rest are fast food joints.
West Iredell has had itās share of difficulties the several years in regard to football but it is my opinion that they now have a very good set of coaches, that given time, will get that train moving right along. They may not challenge the Maidens or Hickoryās right now but given timeā¦ā¦
@GrizzlyDevil beat me to it can't sleep on vandy's they're going to be a black horse sneaky good team it's just going to come down to whether they can finish games this year that they couldn't do last year. I'll be curious to see if West iredell quarterback that people rave about holds up in a conference where teams can really get after him.
I really like the direction of this program... I want to see them continue to climb up and take that next step... Three games, Bandys, Bunker Hill, and North Lincoln... 2 of 3 would be HUGE ...
The Game with Bunker is the last game on Halloween should be a good game. The Foard game last season was pretty good, I look for that game to be a slugfest too.
West has nice facilities and a program that has had some great players over the years. I remember when they had Maurice Moten man he was an athlete good running back! I believe he has some school records??
Well I looked at couple of players not sure if these guys are key, but let's start with Elijah White 5'8 rising Senior totaled 30 carries for 201 rushing yards, 56 yards was longest run. Totaled 11 tackles last season 7 solo and 4 assisted with 1 TFL.
Zavion Chipley 5'10 rising Senior in 2024: 9 receptions for 157 yards total 80 yards longest reception 1 TD
Listed for the Warriors along the line Lane Jordan 6'0 295 rising Sophmore.
Other Key players: Jabraylan Patterson So., Sebastian Bridges Sr. QB/SS
That's what I found on West Iredell so far. I don't know if anyone else has anything on them.
They have Amario Spence RB will be Junior. Not sure about stats, but he might have been the team leading rusher from a year ago. On JV another RB Jay Wasson. He should be on Varsity this year.
I saw Amario on there but not really sure about his numbers. Good eye on that. I hear the Patterson kid coming back is supposed to be good.
Patterson will be there starting quarterback 6 ft 4 180 lb sophomore three-star quarterback with offers from Arkansas Toledo gardner-web and Kent State. He is the mystery box of this team for me. Granted none of that matters if you can't stay up right.
Didn't realize Gardner Webb was interested. Makes sense, those are the types of athletes they get big, athletic, with some upside.
West Iredell off to 3-0 start. They play at home this week vs North Lincoln. Should a good game to watch.

West has won the games that SHOULD win in first 2 week. NL will be the first real challenge. NL leads 8-2 in the series since 2005 (WI won in 2005 n 2014 in the past version of NPC).
2021 - 2022 - 2023 and 2024 NL has beaten WI. ---
Do I think West is better then past yr - Yes but NL is always will be a tough outing and Its a hard team to beat. West Iredell D must stay Discipline n make plays. WI offense can score but if NL eats up the clock like EB, Foard prob tried to do, West will have limited offensive of possessions

They are on an upward swing but to be brutally honest, they have no experience making it through a murders row of a conference like this. And it will get to them but it will make them tougher and will learn from it.
Depth will hurt them in this conference. It's just such a big conference with a ton of good teams.
I agree with all of the above but to add a giant, that is a really big, big hats off to the coaching staff for the work they have done to turn this program around to competitive. Outstanding job !!!!
Food wasn't that great anyways lol. They use to cater our work dinners for Thanksgiving and 4th July. Most people at work begged for another place
