I know Scott Young has been gone from WRHS for a long time now. But they sure aren't what they were under Coach Young. What happened? A shame to see a team fall off like that.

I know they don’t have the talent like they did at one time under Scott Young. He definitely was a good coach and a legend in my opinion. Yes program is not like what it was at one time.

Speaking of Salisbury ( Former player Jaylon Walker) has been 1st player selected this year in N.C. in the NFL draft, going 15 overall to Atlanta Falcons. Congratulations to Jalon Walker.. He is part of State Championship team when they won back in spring of 2021.

During that time players from outside the District were renting house and apartments in the West Rowan District. The rules were you had to stay their fulltime. They were getting athletes from Mooresville, North Rowan, Carson etc... Thats how they were getting success.
