For those you don't get the Darryl reference. Totally underrated player that everyone kind of just forgot about.

Match up zone in the 2nd half was a key move especially for Bell as he didn't have to worry about playing at the top.

Buffalo is a better team than their 5-5 record shows.

NO WAY! VERY AVERAGE PERFORMANCE!

WVU 96, Buffalo 78
But still lot of rough edges this late in the season, particularly giving up points in the paint so often and only ONE blocked shot in the game.

Won’t be good enough for Big 12 games, particularly against Kansas’ amazing passing work and ball-handling and shooting.

Matthews on bench and out of uniform with his injury didn't help chemistry.

Silver linings:

Tree Mitchell, last week’s Big 12 Player of the Week, sharp again with 17 points.

Eric Steveson displaying his usual 3’s and jumper shooting skills, passing prowess and coach-on-the-flor with season high 22 points.

Free throw percentage decent 66%.

Bell, with 18 points, has muscle WVU will need in Big 12, adding 10 rebounds.

Wilson coming off the bench showed some promise I hadn’t seen before, scored 10 points.

Another breather against Stony Brook on Thursday, then the Big 12 meat grinder/battering ram games begin.

9-2, no matter how you got there, isn’t chopped liver. But it also isn’t Big 12.

7 strangers need to morph into 10-tenacles force on floor from tipoff till final gun. Soon. Big 12 mayhem is dead ahead.

With 925 wins, Huggins is third all-time in Division I behind Mike Krzyzewski and Jim Boeheim.

Huggins, who was enshrined into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in September, is the 17th Division I coach with as many as 41 years on the bench.

Wait, weren't you busting my balls for sarcastically saying WVU's performance against UAB was not good enough? 18 point margin here is drastically different?

It's 11 games. If they don't know each other by now then they never will. Free throw percentage was hurt by Bell. I don't know what game you watched but once they went drop zone Buffalo couldn't handle Bell or stop Stevenson and Mitchell. Your theory on the need to morph is BS.
