Another AD fail as well. Shane Lyons with his brilliant 1k attendance only. Good one Shane. Sounded like an empty cathedral in there.

Deuce McBride made THREE of FIFTEEN field goal shots which played a major role in WVU being upset by Florida, 85-80.

Derek Culver, the other half of the WVU’s Batman/Robin duo all season, had 28 points and was 14 for 17 in free throws.

Florida shot 83.3% from the free throw line and 47.1% in 3-pointers. That and McBride’s rare implosion cost WVU the game.

And it didn’t help that Bridges and McCabe, two of the starters, combined for only ONE point!

Let's admit it folks, this team is a mediocre unit masquerading as a ranked team.

There are too many players on this team who couldn't prevent a paraplegic from driving around them, a couple of guys who provide nothing on offense, one guy who couldn't make a free throw if his mother's life depended on it, only one guy who can rebound and we're a lousy shooting that rarely gets a basket in transition but gives up a bundle of them every game. It all adds up to mediocrity. This team is average at best. Nothing to get excited about here folks. Just playin' out the string. Yet another disappointing hoops season in Morgantown. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

I just wonder why we can never run offense out of a timeout. I mean if it happened one or two years consecutively, it would be easy to say the players just aren’t executing, talented enough or not listening. But it has been 10+ years of consistent failure on offensive sets out of timeouts. Hard to watch.

WVU is ranked 30th in the country with scoring off a time out this season.
40th in NCAA BB Team Extra Scoring Chances per Game
144th in NCAA BB Team Possessions per Game
#5 in NCAA BB Team Effective Possession Ratio

The Killer is
77th NCAA BB Team Effective Possession Ratio (not good)
235th NCAA BB Team Effective Field Goal %
227th NCAA BB Team True Shooting %

I actually agree with the sentiment that it’s embarrassing that we don’t have a real crowd at our home games. It’s time to let people make their own decisions.

Don’t let the blind idiotic fans hear this. They will cry that you hate WVU for some reason.

Do those statistics represent a timeout in general or specifically when we call a timeout? It catches me off guard bc we seem so often hard to watch after we call a timeout on an offensive set. I probably just have selective memory and the painful sets are easier to remember

Represents timeouts especially for specific plays at the end of a half and a game. It seems so often because you only focus on the negative like most of us do in a loss. Majority clock stoppages are not timeouts.

Enough with the moronic, deadly me me me b.s. What don't you understand? COVID KILLS people. Has killed over 400,000 Americans in less than a year, with over 600,000 thousand dead expected by the not too distant future.

Making your own decisions is great--UNLESS IT GETS OTHER PEOPLE KILLED, OR HURT!

WTF do people not understand about this?

Watching the Huggins coached teams reminds me a lot of the Nehlen years (football) and I guess it's just something I have to accept. Much like Nehlen, Huggins makes you want to believe-even for a moment- that he can win the big game and get us to the promises land, but instead (much like Nehlen) we fall a little short.....

It's not Nehlen and/or Huggins....its WVU sports in general from the day the school was founded.

Special kind of stupid here. Have you already forgotten the Texas Tech game final seconds? I think we executed out of a timeout there.

It seems that since our defense has taken a big step back with the line up changes, WVU is dependent on the offense being very efficient. Which means unless we are playing scrubs, McBride, McNeil, Sherman, and Culver cannot have a bad offensive game. This time out it seems McBride was way off and FT shooting was way poor.

YOU GOT TIRED OF BEATING YOUR WIFE, I GUESS, SO YOU DECIDED TO BEAT UP ON THE WVU PLAYERS. OBVIOUSLY YOU ARE CEO OF YOUR COMPANY AND A MILLIONAIRE, OR TAKING IT OUT ON THE MOUNTAINEERS BECAUSE YOU ARE NEITHER.
